Inventory Bug?

Is anyone else having this problem?

Open inventory, take something out...close inventory. Then every time you open it for anything after that, all the folders are open, some you didn't even open before!

Is this a known bug that I haven't heard about? It is driving me mad!! :(

Yep, its a fun little bug huh? There is a way to have it all close and start over, though Ive heard sometimes it doesnt work. Open up a new window and close the old with the seemingly unclosable flappy folders. I end up having to do that a few times a day from how much I rummage through my junk lol

yea, it is a known bug. Doesn't bother me though, as I keep inventory open at all times.

Even more annoying to me is when I switch to the Recent Items tab and it just shows my full inventory with all folders open... Clearly everything I own is recent and shiny and new :)

Yes, this is an old bug in the regular viewer version 1.13.3.2 I believe. When they roll out the new one, this and many other bugs should be fixed. Until then there is a workaround. When you have your inventory open, go into file and select New Window. All of the folders in this new window will remain closed. (close the old inventory window)

There is another thing you can do. You can try the beta software client known as The First Look Viewer. It has all kinds of bug fixes in it including the inventory folder one. Just be careful using it because it is experimental and sometimes has bugs of it's own. Read about these bugs here in the blog before attempting to use it.

Heh, shows how used to bugs I'm getting - I'd noticed that and it's driving me nuts, but I wrote it off as just 'one of those things that happens' as opposed to a bug. It always seems to open my largest folders so dragging something from 'objects' to my top folder takes a week. I'm just glad you can open two instances of your inventory (and the second doesn't freak out) otherwise mine would be even messier than it usually is.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have tried the second window trick, and it works. So, I guess that will be the way it's done till there's a fix. *bleh* Whenever that is.

Oh, don't think I want to try the 'first look viewer'. That may open another can of worms and frankly, I have enough of those to deal with. lol

Thanks again!
