/me sees it's 5:36 PM and strolls in with a huge pot of baked beans, complete with mushrooms on the side for those who like their beans with mushrooms, franks over there to put on your franks (if you prefer your frank above the beans I won't tell anybody), grated cheese to use as a topping, bloody marys, strawberry daiquiries, fried spam, and pancakes, omelettes, french toast, bacon, and hash browns for those who are in the mood for breakfast food.

Dig in, and remember we're supposed to just let this thread die :P

Could someone provide the exact name and give a link for the thread we aren't supposed to look at just to help make sure we don't look at it by mistake?

I've never had one, so I don't know if this is what they're supposed to look like, but...

But it's so festive!

And lol, perhaps it would help with the kipper-y taste in your mouth, at the end of the snack?

Toast and dark, bitter, chunky marmalade is a better bet than mint, I reckon.

A caviar omelet?

really iffy Google translation - http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.guije.com/libros/cocina01/frituras/huevas.htm&ei=ULNgS5DtD9KXtgfH2MjYDQ&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CA8Q7gEwAQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhuevas%2Bde%2Bpescado%2Brecetas%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1T4GGLL_enUS315US315

Local market here carries fish roe- not caviar, the unprocessed roe. It's very good in an omlette - didn't find any recipes, this was as close as I got.

For fresh roe I'd say something like a generous teaspoon per egg, mixed in with the eggs. For processed roe (caviar, lumpfish roe, smoked cod roe or even that herring-based fake caviar) about the same, but added at the end of cooking, just before turning the omlette out on a plate. But I'd go for scrambled eggs on toast, rather than an omlette.

Mmmm.. that sounds yumm! How about some thinly sliced truffles on the result? And a mimosa...

Real truffles only with real caviar, of course. The mimosa (Buck's fizz in the UK) sounds about right. And all that would still cost less than an annual premium subscription...
