Hey all,

On my travels last night in SL with a fantastic friend, we came across what looked like a planet... thought hey this may be fun to try stand on it...

OH my God!

We ended up going through it... and inside is mind blowing!! There are planets inside that you can go inside some more, You can even see what it looks like inside the moon! lol.. You can also sit on a moving planet and be given a tour of the solar system, you can click a little earth and TP to a slide show!

This place is so very amazing, the owner was there when we found it, and he has done it all as a labour of love, no other reason than he just gets such enjoyment out of it. The graphics inside will blow your mind!

Please go peek and let us all know what you thought... the slurl I will give will be just ouside the planet, you may need a feather or such so you can hover before you fly into the planet.. into the unknown! There are so many joys to discover inside so make sure you explore throughly! lol

This is what makes SL for me, coming across gems like this and all because someone enjoys sharing with others!

I Just had to share this place! Enjoy :)

I have just been exploring in there again with a clearer head, and it seems that its made with sculpties? Its all 3D.. I may be wrong though as I am no expert!

It is totally awsome, make sure you have a flight pack on to get to it though at 602m up :)

The builder used megaprims, not sculpties. Sculpties aren't supported on the agni grid yet.

Very nice!!

I notice that Mercury has the same texture as our moon, maybe a slip up??

Good job though.

Actually, Mercury is just a tad browner than the moon. But the surface would be just about the same considering how close it orbits the sun - no atmosphere, no life. Pretty much a dead planet.

Over all, I'm really impressed. I spent a little time before logging off, and I plan to go back to explore more later. Very cool. Thanks for the find!

That might explain how you can get inside to look round ;)
Haven't heard of a Neil Armstrong Pizzeria though so have my doubts.

There is a sim that has models of all the spaceships used , to scale i forget the name but its really cool

they also have a 'model' of the solar system and you can set it to any date and see where all the planets were / will be at that date and time

Sounded wonderful Tiana, however, when I followed your SLURL, strapping on my feather , all I found was an empty space house. no planet in sight. Has it been taken down or am I missing something?

I popped over last night to take a look and it was there then. I didn't see it at first as it rezzed a short time after arriving behind me.

Mega prims will disapear if your "Draw distance" is set to low since the prim is only drawn if it's center is within range.

Thanks Grumble Loudon,

My draw distance was at 64 (I'd lowered it following advice I'd read on this forum for improving performace.) I bumped up the draw amd went back to the spot and saw the planet no problem. Thanks again Grumble!

PROPER way to get to this place :)

The proper way to go there is a little complicated :)

1. TP to Mocha (around 200,200)
2. take a train to Purple
3. take a ferry to Cecropia
4. walk to HOBO terminal at Calleta
5. take a train to Jubata (north direction)
6. walk around Sinica (hole in the SLRR net..)
7. jump to another train in Spini
8. jump off in Euclidia and walk into my railway station
9. use teleport to Space :))

this will take no longer than 30 min :) (when all 3 trains and 1 ferry are operational;)

if you are in hurry then use Stargate (dial Rivula) and walk in north-east direction (to Euclidia 200,20) :)

regards :) (and thanks for visiting my place:)
