"mainland" refers to the whole collection linden "owned" servers as opposed to resident owned "islands".

the linden servers form the continents .. which do have names but i've not been able to find the thread that contains their names.

correction:

Heterocera is a classification of moth, and atoll is, of course, a circular formation of coral reef, which surrounds a lagoon, and is itself surrounded by the sea.

Sansara refers to the Buddhist idea of the cycle of birth, life, death, reincarnation.

Jeogeot is apparently Korean for "that thing over there" or some such.

You're right that's the name of the North, Main and South continents: I dunno about the fourth eastern one, but in the fifth at northeast, all unnamed sims were tagged as "Nautilus"...
