How come there's never any First Land available?

Just to update on my earlier post:

Strangely, the $6000 plot next door went. It became a shop for a few hours and went again. Good shop btw so visited main store!

More strangely, a plot two across from that one has been sitting with 30-storey for sale ads for a couple of days now at $6000.

Touching wood, this is the only eye-sore at present. Mind you, following last night's back-log of logins and other probs there wasn't an awful lot to see anyway!

Couldn't tp, partner couldn't even manage her inventory and went off-line so spent an hour chatting with a near neighbour - still enjoying SL :-)

Well I went to a prem account about 3 weeks ago in order to buy land for the first time but I have decided I am tired of waiting myself. There is never any firstland and I check a couple of times a day. I give up! :-( I am going back to basic and will just rent.

VooDoo, if you go back to basic and stumble on first land, when you go to buy it, it will upgrade you when you accept. :)

Having never approached the renting issue I just wondered what kind of ballpark figue it starts at compared to the $9.95 prem monthly fee? It drops to $6 if you take out annual I think I remember ... think I remember? LOL

That waiting list sounded good to me!!!

I have been renting for close to two months now waiting on First Land. I agree the wait list sounds like a grand idea. I have never once seen anything when searching using the First Land Tab. I am a bit discouraged to hear that these plots are typically unattractive. So I just assumed there was a zoning system for residential and business areas. So technically you could get FL build a grand home and then it could be surrounded by night clubs and casinos?
That is a bummer. Oh and if anyone sees that First Land is available and I am online please IM me! I would be forever grateful. Is their a time for those of you that already own FL that it seems to appear? Like in the morning SL time?

I am going to keep waiting but if to no avail I might just downgrade my account also.

Took me about 3 days to get my first land. Once I figured out that they refresh it several times a day (there's been problems for a few days, so less first land going up per day) I took my time and picked out a lot I liked.

Personally, I would wait for a first land plot even if you plan on buying something else bigger or even just elsewhere. I don't believe you can get "First Land" if you buy other land, but I could be wrong. You just won't get another parcel for that price again either way.

Try Anshe/Chung-Heisenberg

Anshe/Chung, a SL developer, has good deals on first land. They have an offer right now of 1024sqm for L$1,024. That's pretty cheap compared to other offers in-world. I bought one parcel on recommendation of one of my SL friends and then bought the parcel next to it at a good deal, too (another 1024sqm for $4,999). Also, since Anshe Chung is a developer, they can afford to offer tier payments at $2 less per parcel than LL. Check it out!

The wait list wouldn't do much. All you gotta do is wait to go premium. So land barons put alts in the list, wait for thier turn (and they will flood it) and *then* go premium and do what's going on now.

*runs off screaming bloody murder at that horrible persons name*
The deal listed here might seam reasonable, but your not really owning the land your just renting it on one of their sims. The owner almost tore the furry community a new tailhole as well. IM me if you need notecards about it. Be prepared to read drama and stuff.
