Assuming you're dealing with a cylinder, a Begin cut of .750 and an end cut of 1 (default) should do it.

Personally, I like a Begin cut at .5 and an End cut at .75, but to each his own.

Is this a raging controversy similar to which side of the tissue paper roll should hang down? Is so, I'm heading back to the land bot threads.

No you both have it wrong. Its begin 0.00 and end at 0.25

And the paper should roll from the back, over the top, and drape down the front. (Which information was unfortunately learned in a trade specific seminar held for housekeeping managers for a fairly large, high dollar hotel chain, said seminar being one I had to attend.)

Sometimes I like to be a rebel and go for B=0.125, E=0.375

How do land bots like thier toilet paper to hang?

And if the toiletpaper roll is cut by 25%, does the land bot still use it? or will it look for a better bargain?

Sillly people. Land bots don't use toilet paper. They use the TOS to wipe with.

See, that's the beauty in the over the top hang, it's ambidextrous (make fun of my spelling and I'll send a land bot after all your TP and I'm not talking about the ability to move about in SL)

Hmmm...that brings up another classification of bots that we can start 10 new threads on. What about those stalking/spying bots? Are they still lurking among us? Do they still work? When I first started, a friend of mine told me a strange bot was following him. (no it wasn't me, lol)

and i fully agree ... unless you have a pet who likes to play with the paper.

in that case, it should drape down the back. makes it more difficult for kitty (or spot) to unroll the whole thing onto the bathroom floor.

i learned this the hard way when my dog came running out of the bathroom with the end of the paper in his mouth .. and the entire rest of the roll following him.

Hotels only do this so that they can create decorative folds, making it easy to tell that housekeeping has actually been to the bathroom.

But at home, it needs to come down the back. That way, when you tear off some, the new end hangs down from the roll where it's easy to grab. When you put it over the top, the new end just lands on the roll, where it's difficult to see and grab.

Don't get me started on whether eggs should be cut open at the small end or big end.

How ever did we go from cutting a sphere prim down to 1/4 to the subject of proper dressing of toilet paper rolls? Is there a developing market for potty prims, scripts and sound effects?

Aaaah, but for that you need a profile cut. Now that's fancy.

Btw, anybody knows how to make an egg in SL? (boiled, preferably)

It's more likely a dimple cut.

Your b*nghole has nothing to do with it. And if you wish to be threatened there's a sim for that, Missy.

Try the ole hide the lube under the bed. See what hilarity insues when the Chihuahua carries it out to the dinner party. (Who says Chihuahuas can't be taught to fetch?!)

Just spin the roll down, it'll show up. :P

<scratches head> .. but being symmetrical, why should it hang one way and not the other?

To the OP; does the start and end numbers dictate the orientataion of the drawn quarter circle .. much like compass directions?
