The best car chase ever. One of the coolest days I ever had was a day when I got to see a taping of Star Trek! Boy, to walk around the bridge, and to wander down random corridors...meet the crew, the actors...was so much fun, and LeVar Burton was directing that day! I had to keep reminding myself not to call him Geordi. ... resting comfortably in the living room, ensconsced in a halo of drugs and doggy pillows... _____________________

Two vet bills, massive amounts of steroids, benedryl, and antibiotics later, it turns out my dog is allergic to.... wait for it... mosquitoes. After my trusty cabana boy and I rushed the dog to the emergency vet at 11 pm last night, he (the dog, not the cabana boy) is resting comfortably in the living room, ensconsced in a halo of drugs and doggy pillows, having been bathed in oatmeal shampoo and fed "sensitive skin" dog food. We're both tired of watching the Food Network, so I'm switching to Animal Channel. At least one of us will be entertained. Congrats to Ray on the 10,000! I'm going to slip down to buy a bottle of vino while the dog is passed out. Love to all! O so glad your poochy is going to be ok.  never heard of ANYONE being allergic to mosquitos...... LOLmy dog has the same basic allergies that i have.... pollen and poison oak (2 things in vast abundance around here). finding out that was all it was was costly. it's crazy expensive, but they are worth it. _____________________

i need to be more serious about finishing my logo's tomorrow. does anyone pay for logos and signs in SL? they are fun and i make real money doing it (in RL)... not tons, but enough to make it worth my time. would be fun to make stuff for SL companies. _____________________

I might have a future as a cabana boy. Does that job take any post graduate training or can you just apply for it and learn on the job?
I'm announcing my availability for cabana related activities. I can move into the cabana or butler's quarters at any time, and if you're hot, I'll even consider relocating. But you have to live somewhere with good fishing. I'll be like Kato Kaelin, only I'm not as big of a dick, and if you happen to kill someone, I'll back up your alibi. _____________________

ha ha did you ever think you'd be a flying macaroni? and it was stormy here today, so the pics are grey. on the next sunny day, i'll reshoot.... but you can also always photoshop that grey to white. No, never would have dreamed it. And I like the grey! Todd, not sure on the guiness book. Someone way earlier showed a link to a verizon forum that had more posts and was growing fast. Largely it was one word posts of stuff equivalent to "fartface" and vulgarities. No way it had the quality and fun of this thread. _____________________

http://info.cern.ch/ in only 18 years it is amazing how much the net (or World Wide Web) has grown. and I never realized that Mosaic was the first browser LOL (god that makes me feel old, I remember using Mosaic, and being on the web in 93 sheesh) actually was on muds before that and BBS's DAMN I AM OLD!! and I remember the talk about the information super highway and never quite sure what folks were talking about, and then one day after getting access to the net via a PC in the college lab, I was hooked, was shortly after that I bought my first PC a 485 DX 4 100 (was very powerful during that time) and a dialup 14.4 modem and damn I was fast on the web back then LOL *shakes head* amazing just what has happened with PC's, makes one wonder what we are in store for 20 years from now. _____________________

Yes Rha you are getting old. Though my first PC was 286, so I should be careful with what I say. Started on a sinclair Z81, but that was a homecomputer Saw each and every version of Windows, had a linux machine even as well. Made my very first purchase on eBay today, so I did not grow with the technology that fast I suppose. And now I am hoping the shipping from the USA is faaaaast! _____________________
