Like a fine wine, canned breakfast only improves with age. But me, I'll be drinking brew for breakfast.

I'm glad you've given me the right opportunity to say something I've always thought: Cristalle, you have one of the very most attractive avatars around.

I'll post an updated image, but for a better picture please pick up a copy of the Whiskered Gentlemen of Caledon Calendar. All proceeds support the continued operations of the Cavorite Mines.

Right, nobody post here again, as it would be extremely apposite if Rha had The Last Post!

Pep (Ah, messed that up didn't I.)
I was secretly hoping (Après moi le déluge.) That my last post last night would bring down the final curtain. But you're right - more suitable if Rha could somehow put on the final touch.

Now I'm feeling rather bouyed that we're still here, and that so many of us care about each other enough to want to experience the end together, so to speak.

I'm off to a meeting. Let's hope the forums are still here when I get back. If not, thank you all for the wit, wisdom, and the other stuff...

My old home screen. Just thought it was appropriate now that I am losing another home that I love.

Okay, I'll admit I'm not feeling particularly maudlin tonight. I just wanted to show off my cleavage.

I spiffed up the Undying Thread group on AU http://www.avatarsunited.com/groups/the-undying-thread I dunno if it will actually get used much but at least it looks better than the crap default backgrounds. Yay for mysteriously getting a bunch of gold coins!

Glad for Spike!

But agree with your other sentiment. I live by DC and busted my butt clearing the 23 inches of snow we received. Yet with all my sweat and preparation, I slipped on sheet ice covered with a thin layer of snow this morning. Not a slow, crumble to the earth fall, but feet above head, body slam back to the ground and broke a rib. Then the paramedic slipped and broke his wrist as he was bringing me back to the ambulance.

Yet the broken rib will heal and the pain will ebb away. That pain pales in comparison to the pain the closing of this forum has been causing me for months now.

This forum literally changed many lives.

OMG, Jesse!!! How are you today? I'm so glad both you and the paramedic made it to the hospital OK...so many of the roads are still so treacherous.

And MORE snow coming today....they day 10 to 20 more inches.

For those of you who are used to snowy winters, I know it may seem as if we in the DC area are wimps, but...our facilities are not prepared for snowstorms of this magnitude...nor does every driver know how to drive (or when NOT to).

Homes are not built to withstand the weight of this much snow...I'm very worried about this round of snow, and the damage it will cause.

If you're praying folks...please offer up one or two for us, especially for those with less than adequate shelter, food and heat.

Innsmouth is a dark and moody fictional town, inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. I used various windlight presets for these shots. Well worth a visit!

Oh wow, those are fabulous pics, Josh. Thank you for the suggestion! *smiles*

That was rousing, Josh. Like every woman who ever had her heart broken in the 1970's I love that song. Lol.

Good to see you still have power and internet, Mo. I hope you and everyone else affected gets through unscathed. Do you have lots of chocolate to eat and books to read? (That's what I used to think about on stay home snow days in Kansas, lol)
