ARGH!!! No way! Demand to speak to someone - tell them you will move your accoutns! At the rates banks are comepting right now they should fall over them selves for you- that's ridiculous. :mad:


Last week, I moved toward severing all ties with Big Banks, and closed my long standing personal accounts with Bank of America, dating back to the 90's when it was NatWest. They can all go to Hell as far as I'm concerned.

The Credit Union at a local Army Base allows all residents of this county to belong and I am now doing business with them.

Morning peoples. DOR reversed the levy so all is good there,but my stupid bank wont get rid of the 100 dollar legal fee they put on me. Stupid ass bank. Anyway,have a good day all. Happy threading.

Yeah I called this morning and they told me DOR has to say they will pay the fee. Apparently DOR didnt do that,so Ill be on the phone all afternoon after my appointment giving people hell. :mad:

I hope that means "legal resident"

I have belonged to my local credit union since I moved to Colorado in 1990 -- it was originally just for employees of the phone company, but they have expanded their qualifications a bit.

Re banks - the firm i work for does banking with a smaller bank- couple months ago i noticed a $1.00 being assessed.. I called and was told it was to cover the FDIC increase in coverage - nice! So..banks get bailed out- our money - banks are insured for more losses- and guess who has to pay for that??

Yes..."legal" is the operative word here. You can live , work, or go to school or church in the county to join this Credit Union.

I do all my banking at the Credit Union my parents joined through my dad's job back when there were less than 1000 members. I think now just about anyone can join. Rio you should definitely not give up without a fight!

I will check some of my landmarks when I get back in world, but normally I just browse around, or piece parts of various houses together. One really pretty one is this one:

Usually I just build large floating platforms with plants, shiny things, and stuff. :) I tend to change it every couple of months cause I get bored. Once I even used a nice space station type system, put plants and trees and water all over it, and hung up about 20% of my artwork. Had several friends that said they could no longer come there because the flashing and colors had ill effect on them.

Right now I am just using the large rock bottomed building platforms from the MystiTool, with lots of my fun stuff out on them.

Seven makes the bestest wings! She made the Kimono style for me when I was having trouble getting the other wings to match my Kimono's. :)

Red Potato salad and chocolate sauce don't mix.. I have since removed the salad from my menu options.. ;P

You should be able to mail a letter to the FDIC, send a carbon copy to your bank about the fee. They are supposed to remove all fees when charges like that are reversed due to mistake on the agency making the request for dunning.
