HUNT Info for Men (and Ladies). This one is for both and it is small - not gridwide. From the notecards:

Welcome in our big hunt that was made for you by czech and slovak designers.

Hunt will last from 15 to 30 June.

- What is your mission? To look for object in form of red letter "C" in 11 destinations
- Our hunt is for women and men and in most destinations there will be always one C for women and one C for men.
- Name of every C will tell you for what sex it was made and it will tell you what number in row it got.
- Every C will hold not just gift but as well LM for next destination of hunt.

hunt is starting on 15th June in Vellas:

It's Monday June 15th @ 4pm SLT and I think I'm gonna try to see if I can organize a forum members' home tour starting at my house if anyone is interested. I'll announce it in group chat in a few minutes and we can hop from house to house if anyone is willing to volunteer their space as we tour around the grid and have tea and cookies :)

Indie Rose is closing and all items are marked down drastically (dresses for L$25), many dollarbies, and camp chairs set to one minute. Sales goes thru June 21st.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tohono%20Island/201/176/23

If you go - don't miss the dollarbie bags on the upper back deck. The lucky chairs and camping chairs are on the lower back deck.

And guys - there are some Bermuda swimming shorts in the white tent off to the side of the building

A home tour was organized a couple of years ago as I recall and it was a success. I didn't have a home then. Actually I don't now, but I could rez one. Not much advance notice to decorate though. I do have a nearly empty 4096 parcel . . . hmm.

It would be something cool to do again and make a weekend of it, with those willing to participate opening their homes for a couple of days. That is, turning off their security and sprucing up the place, hiding the sex beds if so inclined. . .

What happens if people spot things that could be "reported" for NON PG or Mature?? Are we gonna be safe with a bunch of people wandering around and checking us all out?
Sorry if I sound paranoid but ... Weston is right. For a change :)
Oh wow that WAS a Peppery thing to say, Apologs Weston.

Yeah, that wasn't an issue back then. Mostly it just gave the participants a chance to show off their taste and design skills. Not everyone went for the idea then either. Those who did worked at it for a couple of weeks.

I saw a couple of places and then was overwhelmed. I actually was expected to talk to people.

Everyone is welcome to tour Watchman sim, my house is the gothic mansion, feel free to go in and explore :) Just wipe your feet on the way in and ignore the muffled noises coming from the body bags upstairs :) VV

Weston, someone is gonna have to acclimatize you to people soon. Will you be okay with that? I smile but I understand. You need a week in REAL with me. I'll put hair on YOUR chest. And in other places I may take it off :)

What? Is this how it's supposed to work? That you pay not knowing if you get everything or nothing?

i guess. I'm still supersad about it. some odd gambling place. I wanted hair, not play a game of "I give you lots of money, you suck my soul and push me tumbling into a dark abyss of dispair and whimpering"

It did take me a bit of organizing when I did it in my neighbourhood but I think everyone had fun just to see what everyone did and get new ideas for their own places. We swapped lms for furniture places and it's a nice casual meet and greet and a chance to take a look at some places we might not normally go to. Some folks might be concerned with privacy and/or stalkers but it was a totally voluntary thing and people that just wanted to gawk or didn't have a home were welcome to tag along. The hardest part is just coordinating dates/times that work for most folks.

With such a large group it might be wise to do a few homes a session

I mean, what if let's say 100 people say I wanna show my place? That's an awefull lot, but not unthinkable with the amount of people here and in the group.

I'd say first gather who want to show their place and don't mind the forum junkies to strawl around their properties.

Then schedule, do say max 10 a session, although that might already be a lot.[/size]

Just a few thoughts for you :)

If the creator doesn't fix this (after a fair and reasonable opportunity), I'll be naming names and asking the forumites help in persuading him/her to do the right thing.

The item is copy/no trans, and there's a transaction number, so there's no excuse for not fixing this.

Awww - you know I was exaggerating more than little. Just poking a little fun at myself. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was broken and in need of fixing -- at least no more so than anyone else, maybe. It's just that my job has people after me all the time like piranhas, so when I'm home I'm a recluse. In world too, though I'm getting better about that.

I have no doubt you could awaken even *my* inner wild side, but please -- careful with the hair!

Yes, that terrier is great fun. I am not sure that Puppet is a he necessarily. I think those gender ambiguous names are very cool. Makes me react differently. And as you say - Puppet can carry the conversation.

Oh no. Way past my bedtime again. Good night thread folk. You have been entertaining and brilliant as always.

Was good to see you (and Puppet, and 3Ring, and a whole lot of other forum folk) there. I may have gained a little too much notoriety from one "well known blogger," but overall it was a bit of fun. :-)

I'm just not a fan of the style of the new Zindra builds, at least in context. Builds like that belong in a space sim, not on a lawn. And man...lag city. Ugh.
