Fishy stuff happening at the Hangout
03-11-2009 15:39
Greetings, mortals et al.

For those who enjoy fishing at the Hangout, it's no longer constrained to the dock: Just touch the hippo flag at the end of the dock and a pontoon boat--"BaitMaster (Luxe Hobo Edition)"--will rez next to the dock. Climb on, somebody sit in the skipper seat, and head out to deep Linden ocean. Room for five seated fisherman; I think she'll remain seaworthy even with standing room only.

(One note: The boat turns temp on-rez to prevent clutter if it gets stranded in no-script areas, so if everybody stands up, the boat will disappear.)

If it gets to be a popular pastime and there's interest, we might try running a contest or creating custom catches, etc.

Let Qie or me know if it causes any trouble, or if you have suggestions.

Nope. I still make Jiffy Pop every so often, just for the fun of it. I refuse to use that microwave garbage. I made some last week, it drove Boomer crazy, he didn't know what to make of it.

OH MAN! I havent had Jiffy Pop in a looooong time!!

I had to show my Ex what it was. She never got to experience a big inflating ball of Aluminum Foil & popcorn on the stove top. :D

I think Taxi had some of the greatest ensemble writing of any TV show. Jim's driving test is probably one of the funniest scenes I've ever witnessed, it's cryingly funny.

Now that I'm older, I also finally get the jokes on "Soap".

More TV/Movie trivia: The guy who plays "Red", the father on "That 70s Show" is also the main bad guy in the original Robocop (which was filmed in Pittsburgh).

Once the weather warms up a bit, I'm driving up to Evans City to try to locate the graveyard from the original Night of the Living Dead.

Just becuz! :D
