Whew...I was really hoping there wasn't something about me that said "Orgy waiting to happen".

Not at all. My land is named after a Kate Bush song/CD :)

Simple, the cost comes out of the entitlement. If the government wants to tell banks and automakers how to spend tax money, they can do the same with this.

I'm so staying out of this one. I want to smoke my dope in peace and not have anyone tell me whether I do or don't deserve a hand up if I need it because someone blew a j with me.

I'm all for making sure money isn't wasted, and I understand the rig guy's sentiments ... but I don't see anyone giving him the breathalyser every morning, either. It's a nice bag of hypocrisy I'm not even going to get involved with.

You've missed no news, as I have only mentioned it to a few.

After many many days of chatting, Spike and I have started seeing each other.

riding it out until June... with class, charm and what sometimes feels like a false sense of dignity. if i can keep from opening my mouth and letting it turn in to a drama fest - just quietly bear it without retribution, there promises to be a sweet deal offered to me that will put me in a completely different role in my district. at a completely different school. something i've been hoping would open up for a long long time.

but, if i do not get that job, i will not be coming back to this district. i don't think i can take a 3rd year of B.S. in a row - for such low pay. i don't love my job THAT much, even if it was so wonderful before this streak of negativity came along.

glad your situation turned out so so wonderfully. you are lucky. and i will say this - except for one aide who is kind of rough on them (the same one who is most annoying me), the kids are not losing out on a great education. i will not take that away from the adults. we are all doing a great job and the kids are really showing growth.

Actually, most rig jobs are union, and union rules state that if you get injured on the job - even if it wasn't your fault - automatic drug testing. You fail, you get majorly screwed...no benefits at all. So, most will drink (legal) rather than smoke.

You might have to explain tht one for those on this side of the water - u had to explain it to me ;)
For illumination purposes "Taking the p**s" is the more forceful form of "taking the micky", ie "making fun of".

That's exactly what I was referring to. It's not just on rigs, either. This sentiment is everywhere.

Good morning all, first time poster here, I've been lurking for a while, and was going to post a while back but didn't want it to seem like I was trying to steal Spikes thunder....BTW congrats to Lil' and Spike ;) . I signed up in SL about a month ago, but didn't really spend much time inworld until this last weekend and I think I kind of got the hang of it now, thanks so much to the few of you that I've met already!
Anyways, just wanted to say 'Hi!' and glad to be here, it's been real fun reading all the posts on here, you guys and gals crack me up and make my days go so much better! I hope to be posting on here more.

Of course not. But you can drink on your own time and that's legal. Not so with smoking dope.

But you can be penalized for smoking dope on your OWN time, if you get hurt on the job.

It really is ludicrous.

20% of road traffic accidents are caused by drunk drivers, which suggests that you should *always* drive drunk.

Pep (because 80% are caused by sober drivers)

Well then. Ummmm.

/me begins planning 1st Annual Sea & Sky of Honey Orgy Day!

Special Sex Star - 3Ring Binder, who shall be performing spectacular feats of extraordinary erotic escapades so fantastic, the Lindens themselves will see fit to attend :p

Maybe we can get Jumpy to put this together? He seems to know all the really *famous* people in the *industry* in SL lol.

I was all ready to camp out for tickets to this event, until you mentioned Jumpy.

Will a translator be provided or do if have to supply my own?

No I agree with that. I don't agree with testing either, the G is already to deeply embedded in our private lives and getting deeper. I'm just using it as an analogy to illustrate the horrendous waste in the system, people becoming dependant on someone else when they are capable of helping themselves. Our state is a prime example. It's one of the highest per capita incomes, has every form of legal gambling imaginable except sports betting , which may be coming, is situated between to major cities and is broke. Taxes are skyrocketing, the public schools are a failure, and government from local level all the way to the statehouse is corrupt, and incompetent. The public assistance rolls are full of people who don't need it or are spending it unwisely, and we are getting squeezed and being told we have to give more.

Beach. Out in mother-natures clean air, sand and sea :)

No outfit required, of course :p

And for safety purposes never park your car in your garage or driveway; always park it a mile away from where you live and walk the rest of the way.
