From: Marianne McCann Oh boy! I'm gettin tons of 503 errors on th' forums today. An g'mornin, everybuggy. Thanks for those who came to Robin's texture Q & A last night. She's gonna start doing them as regular events, I believe. <snip pic> Sounds like it was a great session, Mari. Hope I can make the next one.

From: Lexxi Gynoid I wrote something and posted it way back in February 13, 2008. No rhymn or reason. No sonnet it. -- Alas, that Second Life, or should I blame Linden Lab? Changing, and changing, always - trying to rattle the cage, changing - the colors on the bars. Still locked inside, with no hope of escape, I am trapped inside Second Life with no way out.
<snip> Apparently it is about a changing viewer (and the friend page issue). I do not remember that. Or what it is I'm rambling about. No matter. Thanks for reposting this Lexxi; I saved it to my hard drive (as I did with all the poems/sonnets/limericks ).

Thank you, Maggie. And I loved the candle pic you placed across the street, too. I drive past the Pentagon every day on my way to work...

From: Maureen Boccaccio ooooohhh...sorry to hear that. @Maggie - regarding Elora's scene from "The Bride of Frankenstein"...she doesn't have a preference for a month, so wherever you want to place her... I talked to 3Ring earlier... she's really stressed out over RL and can't add anything else to her plate. Hopefully she'll be back. In the meantime:

From: Lexxi Gynoid There are only so many poems and stories I can post to keep the thread up, before I run into the erotic stuff. I have access to one more story (told in two parts) that went everywhere and no where that isn't erotic. As the story goes everywhere and no where, and is incomplete, I cannot use it to prop up the thread that is to die, but hasn't. Instead i can talk about it, a little. Though that bolt has been shot. The quiver is empty now. The apple topples down and lands on the ground, slightly bruised by the impact. The . . . topples down bonelessly to land next to the apple. But that is a story for another day. From: Damien1 Thorne We were waiting for the erotic stories. Yes! Much better than reading the newspaper.

I drive past the Pentagon every day on my way to work... Yes thanks Maggie. I wanted to post this today before I went to the ceremonies at ground zero but didn't have time. This has been my desktop wallpaper for awhile:

From: Trout Recreant Daily complaint: 1) Is it just me, or doesn anyone else think that Balance Bars taste like ass? They must be healthy. There's no other reason to ingest them. When I first read this, I thought you were talking about balance BEAMS, and I figured, well, of course they taste like ass.

From: Tex Nasworthy Not sure if there are any other Texans besides Yosef and I that post in this thread, but if there are I just wanted to say "Good luck and be safe". With a little luck I'll be back here after Ike passes thru. In the mean time, keep up the good work and insanity in this thread. Take care all! Hope you'll be safe and sound, Tex...and you, too, Yosef. Haven't read through the whole thread, but you've likely heard that CX had to escape from Houston and is headed to Austin.

It's very visually impressive. You can't help but feel the emotion put into it. I've never before been affected by pictures of stones, I can't imagine what it must be like first hand.

From: Skell Dagger Ladies of The Thread, help a boy out? Anyone know where I can get either heels or simple mary janes... to fit a male foot? Yeah yeah, I know, but I have a drag dance to go to, and I've got a completely hot slutty schoolgirl outfit put together, but even messing with some full-perm heels I found... they just don't look right. Mary janes would work best for the schoolgirl look, but any decent heels that would fit a male foot would be good. Minimum foot size I can go to without making them look misproportioned is size 17. *waves to Skell* Hi there - someone else has probably helped by this point, but I can check when I go inworld this evening...

I've never before been affected by pictures of stones, I can't imagine what it must be like first hand. It's remarkable, and very moving; those little individual reflecting pools under each bench! I am heading over there later today; couldn't make it to today's dedication ceremony.

From: Maureen Boccaccio Holy cow!!! or rather, holy bear!!! That was one determined critter. Either that, or one slow-rowing Canadian. Time to get a new outboard Grandpa! The bears will get you! This is all I need. The only thing that's in the woods that worries me is bears. I'm pretty sure you could drop me blindfolded anywhere in the Cascades and I'd either be able to find my way out or survive until help came. Cougars are rare and afraid of humans, and I know what not to eat or squat in, how to make shelter, how to forage, etc. But dem bears... They's scary.

OK, that one phrase "I know what not to eat or squat in", brought back a baaaaad memory. Back in high school, one evening I was out wandering through the back woods of a National Park outside DC, and, well, nature called. Too bad I didn't check that there was a nice growth of poison ivy right where I...squatted. I do not wish the resulting condition on ANYONE, and ladies, you know what I am talking about.
