From: Maureen Boccaccio 3Ring!!!! How did it go today?  well, i was getting to that.... eventually. LOL thank you all for your support and well wishes. Tex, that was very kind and uplifting. no kids today, but i spent the day helping prep the room, reading IEP's and behavior plans, and discussing many many things with the teacher and other classroom staff. unlike the last 2 years, i WILL NOT be in charge, and that's been made VERY clear to me by the teacher. that may sound unappealing, or like a cop out, but i have been expected to take on teh responsibilities of a certified teacher, but without the pay and without the 'real' power to make important decisions. basically, the actual teachers from these last 2 years were either lazy or imcompetent (or both this last school year), gleefully taking their chubby paychecks, but dumping the work and decision making on to me. i am a very take-charge personality, and i made it very easy for them to take advantage of the situation. but you know, there are kids involved. in good conscience, i could not be idle and 'make statements/prove points/do only my job', because then the kids would have been totally screwed. but that was then, and this is now. so, a new teacher for me this year, and different kids... a different 'kind' of kids. only one borderline ED student. she has marvelously planned it so that none of us will not work with the same students every day, or even all day on any given day. it's really streamlined and routine. there is a schedule. there are goals. there is stability. there is support. there is respect. there is a defined leader who WILL relieve you when you are struggling. i had a GREAT day. i feel good about all my coworkers in the class. and even though i will probably be corrected and maybe even reprimanded for some of my bad habits (and not doing it her way - that whole 'take charge' thing is going to be my enemy), i've been properly warned several times (even by the teaacher herself) and i know they will come from a place of learning and for what is BEST FOR THE STUDENTS! who'd a thunk it! LOL good day. looking forward to tomorrow, where the real test of my ability to take orders begins!

From: Incony Hathaway I think this is my last SL year.. i see the beginning of the end for me.. i really cant do what SL says i can.. i get blacked for lag.. yet ive no problem.. my PC has done me well for the last two years.. it seems no one else can.. cause they all complain of lag.. there is no benefit for me in SL now... i am not looking for condolence.. but neither can i change what brought to use SL in the first place... i guess though, that closing my account will be just as bigger pain as staying.. some promises stay that way.. dont they?.. maybe just don't log in for awhile, and try back again in a few months. things change.

Pep (Does this mean I have to misspell words duhlibarately?) please, misspell randomly and without concern for others' opinions. it's quite liberating really. seriouslly, in the grand scheme, it's just not that important in a forum that doesn't revolve around the English language and preserving its distinguished history. save that crap for alt.usage.english (that is a real board where you can be as pompous and self righteous and demanding of perfection as you desire. but, be warned. they will eat you alive in there. i speak from experience). and i pass judgements on people based on total, combined behavior, when i pass judgements. so of course it includes every thread. do you really find it endearing to go around being a snarky negative nancy all day? and don't you realize that we've already graduated, and don't want to be schooled (unless requested)? have fun, or you're gonna have a coronary. in the meantime, i must adhere to my 'bypass' decision with you because a little ass kissing and back peddling doesn't really change anything, and it wraps you in an unattractive package that puts a very bad taste in my mouth. kindest regards and positive vibes that you'll sway me back, some day.
