Mature Sims Show With Red Crosses

I have a friend who cannot tp into mature sims. She says that on her map they show as having a big red 'X' on them. She is limited to PG sims only.

She has an account born in 2004 but she has been away from SL for some time, and has only recently come back on regularly.

I've flicked across the forums looking for an answer, but so far haven't come across anything. It's not an issue I've ever had. Anyone know what she needs to do to sort it?

I've heard of this before. I think it's a shade of either things to come or things that used to be, but no longer are, on the horizon. You can probably find old posts about this.

Very very ikely the eventual outcome of not being age verified when that is launched officially.

Your friends account was proabbly accidentally marked as not age verified, even though there is no such thing officially yet.

Was her account expired and did she recently have it reactivated?

This has nothing to do with age verification. Being restricted to PG-only sims is probably just a teen restriction in the event that they manage to crawl out of their own little corner of Agni.

ive heard people comment on something similar before; teens could see the adult grid but the grids were marked with a red X and inaccessible.
perhaps you mate needs to look over their info on the webpage and see if anything needs to be updated.

She probably was tinkering with SL and clicked the wrong thing

Have her press control-alt-shift t to get the client/server menu to appear. Then client->character->character tests->toggle PG. This should do it

wow...I dodn't know that there was a pg toggle.


Unless its changed, I think you need to hit ctrl-alt-d or ctrl-alt-shift-d to get the client/server menus.

This is new to me. Must have been pre-2004 if it is old. Hope it isn't new stuff... I don't want to verify all my alts just so they can hang out at my house.

I'm connected to her as well.

The debug menu made the red "X"s go away but she still cannot enter mature sims without logging out and logging directly into them.

any ideas?

I don't believe it actually expired...is a basic so no payment involved after the initial (yes it is that old) but was left idle for well over a year.
