Anybody Else Having Trouble Buying Lindens?

I just tried to buy a chunk of them five or six times, in SL and on the website, and got errors both places.

Why don't you want my money, Second Life? Sob...

As you've now learned the valuable lesson that Linden Lab doesn't want your filthy money (as they might use it to pay bills, salaries, etc.) use a third-party exchange like SL Exchange at slexchange.com

Did you try logging out and back in? There have been times when it said the transaction failed, only to have the money show up after a relog. Actually, on one occasion, I tried twice in SL and once on the site, and wound up having all three go through in the end. Oops.

I've tried logging out and in several times in SL. The site keeps logging me out, as well as bombing on the transaction, when I try there.

That better not happen, my attempts all going through at some point, I mean.

I have had the same thing happen as Ann several times.. Now I am much more careful.. If the transaction fails I ask one of my friends to "pay" me $1L.. This will reset my money shown and if the transaction really took place it will show up.. Of if you have an SLexchange account withdraw a small amount and it too will reset the balance.. If your balance is not $0L you can also make a small purchase and that will also reset your balance.

Also for a while all my transactions failed.. I then went to the acccount page, deleted my payment info, and resubmitted it.. That fixed things.. Apparently the payment system gets corrupted at times, as does your account balance.. Either of these will cause the transactions to report that they failed.. Just be aware that it may not really have failed.. So DO NOT just keep trying...

Also, if their suggestions don't help, call your credit card company and see if they might have blocked it for some reason. That's something else that has been causing the buying of L or even paying the premium to fail.

See, LL has changed to an overseas bank, so most US banks are blocking the transactions as fraudulent. Happens a lot too. Besides, you'd have a lot easier time getting a hold of your bank than LL.

All paypal accounts are having troubles on LL side. they are being rejected by the LL billing system.

Its a bug that LL says they are working on but they more you let them know the faster it will be done.

Sounds liek its happening a lot ..

Explains why my sales are slumped .. again .. lol

*nods* The more widespread the bug is, the easier it is for them to diagnose and fix. I hope they do fix the Paypal soon, because most of us will have to swap over to it to keep from having to tell our banks to unblock Linden Labs so we can pay them.

I got a new error message, saying my payment info needed updating, so I updated it, and...nada.

Woot.

Yes Anyone who uses Paypal and is having troubles of not being able to pay things or buy money in SL you should be sure to open Ticket and let the Billing lindens know so they can get this issue fixed faster.
