[11:44] Socrates Linden: Please read the Second Life blog update about gambling policy: http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/08/09/anti-gambling-policy-update-faq
[11:44] Lias Leandros: booo

Unbelievable. This guy comes by and returns one of my sploders to my inventory. Just the main one - not any of the ones on the beach or in the pub below the island. So I guess they are wandering around
the grid harassing paying customers. First time a Linden works on a weekend and its to police the grid. Wonderful.

He'd have done the same thing if you have child porn pictures out on display, or otherwise broke the terms of service, you know.

Chances are someone ARed that specific sploder.
Better be safe and remove the rest BEFORE they get ARed as well.

Otherwise you may end up boing banned due to multiple TOS violations

lol, cold dead hands!

Possibly Socrates wasn't policing, maybe he was just zapping around the grid and came upon your place. So just zapped the one sploder.

Funny story re: lindens touring the grid: my alt works at a store, and a Linden wandered in recently to buy boots. First one I'd ever seen, so I hustled off my pose stand and ran over to help ... or tried to! In a graphic demonstration of SL's current woes, I was completely lagged and just made vague swimming motions. Got out a couple sentences to call the store owner over and then crashed.

Later I looked her up, and it wasn't just any Linden, it was the director of Customer Relations. I hope she related to me, stuck in SL mud!

(Neat outfit she had, too).

SL has customer relations?

What the hell have they been doing all this time?

Yep...

Best of luck fighting LL and federal law on this one, bladyblue. Let us know how it works out?

That's a bit undeserved. Lindens get a stipend, but other than that they have to buy their L$ the same as us lowly residents when it comes to their personal spending :).

I knew that... but I couldn't resist saying it.
To be fair, one can't expect their Relations folks to work 24/7, either.

No, but it would be nice if, while they happen to be at work, they tried to establish at least the beginnings OF real communication with the customers.

I'm not concerned about the sploder, my patrons enjoyed it alot and it is sorely missed. I read the blog daily and the word SPLODER never appeared. Tmy Entertainment is making one that complies and we wil be sploding again within a week. My issue is that a Linden actually took time on a Saturday to come to my venue and return a sploder to my inventory when full casinos are still running, thousands of sploders are running all over th egrid and they never even said the word SPLODER in their vague posts. They said BINGO but they never said SLINGO. We specifically asked for clarification about the sploders and were ignored. They would rather cause grid drama on a Saturday than be clear about their policies.

Part 2.
And we pay hundreds of dollars a month and we can't get customer service during business hours. But we can get a desk jockey running across the grid on a SATURDAY to delete one sploder. I hope I am not paying his overtime for this.

Blady, we are all guilty. We are all bad.

According to other residents, paying your employees may also get you automatically banned for gambling.

Innocent till proven guilty! Off with their heads!

And by all means, for God's sake, let them wait till Monday before we sort it out. It's good for them. Shows 'em who's boss. They have no business working on their SL business anyhow. Who do they think they are, anyway? Our customers?

Wait.. I'm confused. Are we complaining about them paying attention to ARs, which is what it sounds like they were doing, or about them not paying attention to ARs, which is what the usual complaints around here are for? Or is it the weekend support vs no weekend support thing?

They probably don't know every spot on the grid. Want a casino gone? AR it.

So you suggest we all go around the grid taking the coordinates of all sploders (Items the Lindens refused to name in their blog) and reportthis information to Linden Lab?

What a sense of community you have. FULL CASINO ISLANDS ARE FUNCTIONING AT FULL CAPACITY RIGHT NOW. Linden Lab can find them if they wanted to. I suggest they go and return $3,000 USD of equipment to a casino owner right now and see what happens.

You can arrange that by grabbing a group of friends in-world, TPing to one of these Casino islands you know about and ARing everyone and everything there.

FYI, having information about the comission of a crime and not reporting it is known as "accessory after the fact"
