"We are currently investigating some intermittent issues regarding assets at the moment. These issues are manifesting themselves as an inability to rez, attach or take an object; attachments failing to rez; texture uploads not completing; and, in some cases, scripts failing to save. Our operations team is working to resolve this as quickly as they can."
Notecards are not saving all the time along with other things getting eaten by the asset server. Be careful out there.

It's on the verge of causing mayhem, my vendors aren't reporting that they're empty.

Loosing inventory for good?? Then why doesn't the LL blog warn us against this?? I have lost then a bunch of stuff I bought trying to figure out what was wrong. I know I should check the SL blog but often problems are not noted there plus it would mean checking the blog every couple of hours.

It appears that losing inventory items is a problem we all have to learn to live with. The way I am living with it, sadly, is I have stopped buying things.

I know I should check the SL blog but often problems are not noted there plus it would mean checking the blog every couple of hours. Even a warning on the blog isn't enough. They frig'n need to announce such things inworld. Of course that would cause an uproar, but that's better than anyone losing valuable items. At least for the residents. Edit: Items are vanishing at random. Inworld that are rezzed inworld, not inventory items. I first noticed that a bridge and some pathways were missing, had just replaced them, wrote this forum post, switched back to SL - and now a wall of my castle is gone.

It's pretty bad tonight. It's always darkest before the dawn.

Sucks SL is going to be unusable tomorrow too. And perhaps the day after.

Hewwo CoH!!! Yeah, that's where I'm gonna be tonight, if it's this bad. If I log in and find my shop missing, I'd be likelier to call the lawyer than have "Live Chat" with LL.

I was planning to take some pictures of my stuff tonight. I read the blog and the posts here, so I was a smart girl and only pulled out stuff with copy permission. Then comes time to delete it, and... I made my first "selected/sat upon" ghost prim!!! I feel so special now. --- And now a word from our sponsor: The ghost prim / 0,0,0 bug causes permanent loss of no-copy items and uses up your prim allowance with invisible "selected/sat upon" items. Items may be visible at the region's 0,0,0 point, and non-phantom items can seem solid (though invisible) at the original location. In most cases a sim restart is required to remove the ghost prims, but there is no way to get no-copy items back. If this has affected you, vote on JIRA to get it fixed: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-242(The entry title specifies "copy" items, but this entry now applies to "no-copy" items too.)

Today's maintenance did not solve this problem
06-13-2007 14:29
I had never experienced ghost prims before yesterday (June 12). It happened to three of my items, including the front of a house.
Today, thinking the problem had been solved with this morning's downtime, it happened with an item i had just purchased. (Fortunately, the seller replaced it. Although it's a gift, I'm leaving it in inventory and will have to give it late.)
