After Linden forbid to buy Isalnd with Cauntry names the rules changed for Anche Chung
.She get the Austrian Sim without Isalnd or City in the Name. How many other country names so main laevel domains she will get ?
Even the Austrian Goverment run Sim Austrian Island due not get ther own Cauntry name for ther Sim . Qustionmark after auestionmark ??

I suspect Anshe bought those sims before the regulation was announced.

Anshe has always been a strong competitor in the land market, but her dominance now is actually _less_ than it was before.

Weird... when I think of Austria and someone who wanted to dominate the world I don't think of a mouse or Ansche.

Ansche follows the same Terms of Service, Community Standards, and pricing plans that we've all agreed to. Does she pay more in tier than many, or possibly all, of us? Probably. Does the more one pay typically result in better service? Possibly.

Assofaras as sim names. Mainland sims are typically named in themes. Colors, moth species, moons, etc., and are picked out by the Lindens (though there have been rare instances of contests resulting in sims being named after residents). Private sims are just that, private, and it's up to the individual sim owner to name their sim (as long it doesn't violate the 'broadly offensive" rule).

As a private sim owner can name their sim whatever they wish they'll do just that which is why there's been Paris, New York, Rome, Chicago, etc.

I'm unaware of a restriction against using country names. Can you point to a specific link regarding this?

Who's Ansche - or Anche - Chung and why do we care? or do we care?
Does it effect what we do in SL?

Anche Chung was one of the early landbarons and the first SL millionaire (at least her land holdings within SL would be worth more than 1 million US$, from all I read). Runs some additional businesses by now, content produced in China as far as I know.

Learned something new today .

I rather wonder: how much do I have to pay SL in order to get a satisfying and more or less bug-free service? I'm far from paying as much as Anshe Chung (who surely has to fight with lag and bugs too), but currently I pay $900 for classifieds alone, tier not included. If someone payed me more than $1000 monthly, I'd make a handstand to satisfy that customer.

Tonight I tried to upload 40 textures. Almost impossible. After 5 files: "Unexpected server error bla blub". Further uploads not possible after that error message. I had to relog countless times and it took me 90 minutes until all 40 textures were finally there. When the servers have a good day, this process takes less than 10 minutes.

I understand that there are some bugs and errors. But what I can't understand is that every unverified teenager gets the same bandwidth and the same right to cram the asset server with files. Grid overload = me unable to work. Makes absolutely no sense, business wise, to annoy paying customers in order to provide the same service to thousands of freeloaders who never pay a dime. Would it be so hard to limit the inventory of unverified accounts and waste less bandwidth on them?

I suppose she will need a proper lair for her command base. I'd imagine that in SL it would cover at least 12 to 20 sims. There will be room in the lair to house, clothe, feed and train at least 10 battalions of hired goons. There will also be room for all manner of assault vehicles, cargo transport ships and planes and support vehicles. In addition to the main complex, another 10 sims strategically placed around the grid will be home to Anshe's nuclear arsenal.

To win the hearts and minds of the world, Anshe will need a fully functional propaganda division. The propaganda division will consist of two cable news networks, a weekly magazine, a radio network with stations broadcasting 24/7 in 10 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Pig Latin and Ubby-Dubby. Of course, there will be a website too.

Just to show us she means business, Anshe will probably make an extraordinary show of power. She will most likely use a tractor beam of incredible power to pull the large asteroid Ceres out of its orbit in the Asteroid Belt and relocate it in a geostationary orbit over the SL grid. Ceres will have the image of Anshe's smiling face etched into its surface.

Now, if any or all of these things actually happens, Anshe will have most likely dominated all of us.

So is there a problem with Anche Chung property, I was looking at two (mainland) no more than 1/2 an hour ago and quite honestly they were the best I'd seen all evening and easily the best prices ?

I think you may have to "buy" it (note the quotation marks) first, then pay rent monthly.

why not just rent somewhere so you dont have to deal with "buying" and "selling" from a fellow avi.

I think she only rents on her sims. She has been known to buy and sell on the mainland.
