Hi all... I started this poll in the replies of the latest LL-Blogpost: http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/08/09/service-outage-for-certain-regions/#commentsI am asking this a s a serious question: Should Secondlife deduct every disfunctional day from tier ? Please vote in the poll here: http://www.misterpoll.com/2462514004.html& DIGG this story: http://digg.com/gaming_news/Secondlife_com_should_deduct_every_disfunctional_day_from_tierP.S. This discussion is NOT about what is currently causing the problem technically. It's about Landowners losing money and leaving secondlife... Greetz, MrLunk voom

Not everyday no. There have to be some allowances for downtime. Then you'll get people pointing out that a tier refund of a day isn't worth a fat lot but in terms of goodwill it would be good customer support.

This is thread number 9435 of the "we should get a refund for downtime" meme....
Sorry, this is not a prize winning number. Please try again.

The way I see it: No more tier ever!

Agreed... everyone has a different opinion of what they MUST be able to do in order to have a "functional" experience.

I think the state of California should deduct from my taxes for every time I get stuck in traffic on the 405 and waste large amounts of my time, of which I have only a fixed amount of on this earth....

I personally think my credit card company should deduct from my balance every time I have to wade through its 5000 option telephone menu.

I don't think they should charge for search listings when search doesn't work for a whole week. It's not much, but it's a pretty big beaurocratic sting when your business has stopped doing anything and you see L$90 come out (I have multiple listings for different parts of my mall).
The grid hasn't been down for an entire day since I've been on so there would never be any reason to refund for it. And an hour is like, what, US1.00 or something for the bigger land owners?
Not worth the effort. We want them to STREAMLINE! Not add more processes!!

From: Oryx Tempel Nope it's from Battlestar Galactica the new series. The quote came to mind after getting run down by several lookalike noobs in Ahern. Having said that, LL should pay me for every time that generic blue shirt blue pants guy runs over me. Getting run over does make my day dysfunctional. Am I right or wrong?

I agree if we have 50% of the month we can't use SL with most features working, we should get it deducted from our teir, the sim owners should get it deducted from theirs, and even the land or house renters should lower their prices to suit the temp discount. I don't think LL will implement a policy that will lose them money however.

Yes. I give my tenants a rebate or free days for for every day SL is either down or all but unusable. Usually i let it accumulate to a full week, it makes it easier to kep track that way........
