As I can't buy my boat for another two months (darn Linden and their lousy Linden upload limits) the timing might be right. We'll see.
You can buy Lindens from other places, SL Exchange is one, you actually get a better exchange rate as well.

There ARE larger livable boats/yachts that you can drive. I have an 8 person yacht with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, shower, sitting area, TV, etc.. that does drive. The trick to it is when you drive it, most of the boat attaches to your avitar like a prim skirt does, which supports a much higher prim count (256 prims per spot) than a vehicle does (31 prims -1 for every rider). I also have a gorgeous cabin cruiser that functions this way.

Sirius Creations has a variety of lockable doors and gates... one style enables you to add your own texture. If you were able to come up with the correct texture, this might work out your door problem. These doors allow you to add additional users and enforcers. Also you can configure the swing/slide/telescoping of the door with easy instructions and you can customize the greeting message.

I bought the boat from Sabrina yesterday and now seriously looking for land. Why, I got ur IM's babe
![]() AND stupid me fugured out that YES, the divine boat does have doors! I just need to lock them and I'll be happy. I don't mind people coming onto the deck, boats are divine and I accept that people want to walk on them, but not inside. That is my personal space. At Lassards there is a boat which gives you a warning if you get too close. You get a whispered message saying something like "you have 15 seconds to move away" and it like spams you with this message. |

The largest driveable boat in SL is approx 350 prims. It uses a multi-move script. In an open water, lag-free sim it can move surprisingly well. The interior is 2 levels-pilot house and living room/den on top flr and large living room/kitchen. large bedroom and sauna on the bottom. Outdoors on top is a working hot tub. It has one-way glass and non-lockable doors. 4,500Ls.

I have seen the boat, truly amazing build. Nice work Sabrina! Stormy I think you may attract some attention anywhere you put it...hehe, Sorry, I don't drop into the forums often ![]() Stormy, the boat has privacy tint windows, so you're all set there. As for blocking access, when the yacht was built, you could sit on a box and move the box into any build of any type, regardless of door lock scripts, etc, so I never bothered. This changed in the last version, for better or for worse, so if I ever get back into yach crafting (which is extremely unlikely, that thing took six months to build, and just opening the Edit menu causes all kinds of flashback pain) I would probably add this feature, although it's annoying for domestic partners. In the meantime, you can get a simple scripted invisiprim that blocks access to the doors but turns phantom for you. I'll look up the one I have - it works very well! _____________________
