Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer

Second weekend in a row this has happened to me. My account is fine and up to date. I really need to be able to count on being able to log in and take care of business.

Why oh why does this happen? Happening to anyone else this weekend? (Looks over her shoulder...something I've done?)

No, I checked my password and I started the thread again to see if it is happening to anyone else since last time there were a rash of them at once. I'm lucky cause my account is still alive and fine...some people had their accounts dumped too.

Sigh, thanks for answering...time to go read a book. I'll finish my build on Monday.

And you're not the only one. I handled about 6ish calls from people with the same problem just today .

No, the password was fine both times. This time the access was denied in my first log in and the password is always the same.

And I can get on with my other computer so its not my account or password, its the computer they are denying. I assume its the MAC address of the computer.

I left a message with support and if its like last time, they will fix it Monday morning quite quickly.

I was having this same problem. I uninstalled Second Life and deleted my preferences folder. I then reinstalled SL and was able to log on. Give it a try. It may help you.

Thanks Zak, gave it a try...didn't work. It may be that it worked for you cause they fixed it at their end at the same time. It is at LL's end in that they ban the computer itself...its a glitch and if it happens on a weekend you have to wait until Monday to get it fixed, and then it is done in a moment.

Since SL is 34/7..you think that Help wouldn't be 9-5. It seems weird to me that LL wants to be the next web but only has support available in time frame from 9-5 hours...classic slacker hours really.

I'm giving this "game" a year to sort itself out and then if this continues I'm gone. I wonder if many other people are at the tipping point too..I notice that numbers have declined by about 6000 per day.

Well, I may have spoken too soon. I was able to log on once. Now I can't log on again. I get the same "Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer." error. This sucks.
I agree that LL should have a way to get in touch with support on weekends.

Should be sorted out Monday and I'll ask why this has happened 2 weekends in a row to me!
