LMAO! SLirgin! Can I use that one in the future? It's great! LOL

well you cant use the reborn SLirgins, thats kinda the point.

Cept the closet ones only pretending to be reborn SLirgins.

As for normal SLirgins - you can probably use them - if you are their type.

ohh and you are in SLove of course. :p

I'm at work right now, and yes I'll log in from here regularly. It's my company, it's really small and stable, and some days I don't deal with too many calls.

When it's too busy for inworld, but still not too busy you'll see me on forums, like now.

I can talk to clients and customers as needed in the middle of a forum post without making anyone wait on me.

I do a lot of database crunching, so the forums give my brain a break. Other than that, I'd never even try to login to SL from work. They do security sweeps of every program installed on our puters once a week

I frequently log into SL while I am at work, using my personal lap top and my companies free public wireless network, in an office building that has lots of public visitors. So my log in time is fairly anonymous.

Before the wirless network became available, I logged in using a Verizon cell phone connection. It was too slow for exploring but fine for chatting, socializing, building, cybering :)

I log on to the forums here from time to time during my work day. But I don't try to go in-world while I am supposed to be working. I work from home, and so just before work and on my lunch break I can go in-world. But I do that from a different computer entirely. At this time my 'work' system actually isn't sufficently capable to access SL, so there is no temptation to go in-world while working at all.

My employer monitors the apps installed on my system, and monitors and limits the places I go on the Internet when I am connected to the company network. But when I am on off-hours, and am not connected to the work network, they don't monitor it. So if I had a better work system I *might* install SL on an external drive or a USB thumb drive, and only attach it to the work system when I was on my lunch period or after hours, and not connected to the company network. But I would still refrain from doing it when I was "on duty".

For most people, I definitely would advise against going in-world from work. Just too great a risk that your actions will be detected or monitored, and that doing SL on 'company time' would likely be considered a firing offense.

I quite often log in from work. I work at a university and they are starting to get interested in SL. They've now got an island and I am helping to build it. So, not only am I *allowed* to log in at work, it's actually *expected* of me :)

I did today...because we have our own ISP and DNS servers and I wanted to check those because some Germna ISPs had trouble with the DNS servers. Then again I'm still pondering how to integrate SL into my teaching (university), so that's perfectly legal! ;)

I've been known to sneak on from the borin' place time to time. I will generally stay in a skybox on an island, as a way to cut my overall bandwidth, an jes IM with people. I also dun stay on for long. Jes to check in an get offlines an stuff.

I check the forums and sometimes hit SLExchange during my working hours ... but I can't get in-world due to the firewalls.

I *am* the IT Department where I work, so for me it's pretty easy to give in to the temptation to log in from work, and I frequently do, when I'm in my office. More often than not, I'm just idling there - but there's something about just being "connected" that makes my day flow a little more smoothly. You know, like heroin.

that makes two of us... :)

i'm the it director / network admin for a small government funded 501c3 (non-profit / educational) corp... needless to say, i log in and normally idle or do simple non-demanding estate management stuff, but rl work never suffers...

I did for a very short time, but found it too tempting and uninstalled it. I’m a part of the IT Dept so I have admin rights, have a door and rarely get interrupted, unless my door is shut then I’m guaranteed someone barging in. Now I’m content with the forums and such and do my SLing at home. I did try Sleek and may continue to use it but had a friend say it made me horribly Ruthed.
I fear the career killer for me isn’t running SL from work but rather falling asleep at work because I stay up so late on SL (~_~)zzZZZZZzzz
