Female skin WITHOUT makeup -- does it exist?

I've loved all the skin threads posted on this forum, and have visited as many skin dealers as I could find inworld. But in all my searching I've never found a skin for a female avatar that did not have distinct eye and lip makeup.

Now I'm trying to find a skin with NO eye or lip treatment, similar to the look that male skins display.

Does it exist? Can anyone recommend a skin designer who has at least one skin design for a female avatar that is not made up?

I'm pretty sure that I found some when I was looking for skin. They were at CMFF (Chip Midnight) and Naughty. Try Alina "Eye Shadow Natural Beauty" demo at Naughty. There's probably others there too. I can't say I like heavy make-up either.

Try Yummy Skins, in Serenite. I know Robin Sojourner has a no makeup on each of her tones.

This is no doubt a dumb question, but -

If you get a skin, what can you change on it? I know you can change your shape under it, but can you add eye makeup or lipstick and whatnot TO it?

Could you get a plain skin and then add your own makeup, is what I mean.

If only that were possible, then my search would be over! But skin comes with the makeup and none of the designs I've seen offer a plain version.

As soon as I can get inworld today, I'll try on demos for the skins mentioned above (thanks!) and see if they approach what I'm looking for. I was at CMFF yesterday and all the versions I saw were heavily made up, so I didn't even bother getting a demo. But I went back this morning and picked up a demo pack anyway. Maybe a plain one is included, just not explicity mentioned?

Ran into the same deal with Robin Sojourner, who doesn't appear to offer demos for all her skins, which is a bit frustrating since she's the only designer that even makes reference to a "no-makeup" version.

A few of Gala Phoenix's skins have very light makeup, if that helps. I've tried on a lot of her demos and come across a couple that are very natural looking.

Drop her a line. maybe? I have her kid skins, so they wouldn't tell you too much, but I believe she wears one of her no makeups, an might be moren happy to help ya out.

I have a Robin Sojourner skin without makeup which I'm pretty sure that I modelled beforehand (to be honest, skins don't look _that_ different without makeup if you're looking at the whole thing, so even if the only available model version has some, you'll be getting the right sort of idea).

I also got the whole skin in several different versions with makeup added when I bought it, though I have not had cause to use them yet. I can't say enough good things about Robin's products to be honest.

Skins are like a full body flesh color tattoo. Since they use the tattoo layer you cant currently do a tattoo layer make-up of your choosing. But if the skin was translucent it could allow you to use the sliders to adjust lip color ect. I had a skin which allowed me to use the sliders to adjust facial hair, something you also cant do on a 'conventional' skin. Dont recall who made it.

Thanks, everyone!

I'll be spending the weekend trying out all your suggestions and recommendations. It's so strange, but I get a big kick out of trying on skins. Whether or not I eventually find exactly what I'm looking for, I always have a great time searching.

Oh, you're preaching to choir! I love Robin's clothes and prim-less hair. My wardrobe is filled with her jeans, flannel shirts, three different hair styles and I've got a sound fx rock of hers in my garden. But I had tried her skins before and they looked dreadful on my AV.

Now I'm looking for skins for an alt AV and the results are compelely different. Skins that didn't work for me before, look great on this one, so I'm more than willing to give Robin's skins another look this time around.

TaP Bronzage Naturelle Bare!

No contest, this was one of the nicest skins I tried on this weekend and the no-makeup option was exactly what I was looking for. Softly drawn skin definition and a transparency that lets you control overall skin color and eyebrows.

Second Place goes to Robin Sojourner's no-makeup option, based on what I can infer from the demo pack. That particular option wasn't included in the demo (pout), but the skins with make-up looked great. If I could buy just that one skin option, instead of a 4-pack, I probably would have scooped that up as well. I may splurge on the whole set, but not until I've earned a few L$ inworld.

Honorable Mention goes to the CryoGen Faith skin, which I had bought earlier. More makeup than I wanted, but subdued by SL standards.

SS Labs. All Namisor's skins start as a no-makeup version, and are high quality.

gala phoenix has a bare option on all of her skins it's very nice. and extremley cheap.

my regular skin is one made by katanablade anubis (crying rose studios) it has zero makeup. but it was heavilly customized by katanablade. and cost a bit extra.

she is, however, extremley nice, patient and cool. so i have to give her a reccomendation, as well.

Regan, after having my alt run around for a couple of months in a freebie CS passport malibu I started looking for a paler one and found at Celestial Studios a bare version. It was frightening! LOL I'd got so used to the make-up.
Like you I thoroughly enjoyed the experimenting and met someone who said they'd got three hundred demo skins!!!

This new skin hunt has started to change my general skin aesthetic. I was so impressed with how natural my alt looked, that I tried a few of the samples on my Regan AV. Like you, I found the transformation startling, almost unsettling, since I'd gotten used to the heightened eye shadow and lip treatment.

For the moment at least, I'll let my new alt carry the natural looks banner, while Regan maintains her Lipstick Lesbian style, but it's an issue I may revisit again.

And I probably have at least two hundred skin demos. I finally had to pack them up in a storage box to reduce the enormous bloat in my inventory!

Regan, thank you for the headsup on this particular skin made by TaP. Subesquent to reading your post I tried on some of TaP's demos--part of my never-ending search for a No-Makeup Female Skin with NATURAL EYEBROWS.

With the TaP Bronzage Naturelle Bare I find that the eyebrows look natural (as opposed to the plucked or penciled eyebrows I've found in other "bares";). But I did not find anything adjustable in the Eyebrows. Did I miss something? In APPEARANCE mode I was able to adjust the skin tone (lighter/darker), but not the colour of the eyebrows. My avatar has blonde hair so I want blonde eyebrows. The TaP eyebrows in this skin are brownish. I'll take another look--maybe I missed something.

I've noticed that there are blonde eyebrows in the LIBRARY (made by Chip Midnight). I wonder if I can attach them over the TaP Bronzage Naturelle Bare skin?

My bad. You can indeed change skin color, and I believe you can change eyebrows shape as well? Can't remember and can't get inworld right now to check. But I may not have actually tried to change their color since they already matched the black that I wanted.

I may have been confused by the very natural look of the eyebrows, which is sooo much nicer than the thin pencil line that is common to so many skins. I like strong eyebrows!

Does anyone know if the TaP designer does custom work and could provide a skin with blonde eyebrows?

Thanks for the mention :) Almost all of my skins are sold without makeup (or very minimal). Some come with a few free makeups in the base package. On all others the makeups are sold seperately. I'm glad to hear that there are people out there who prefer their skins without any.
