since to buy a real life product, it would have to cost a real-world equivalent of lindens-to-dollars.... um, i'd have to convert my dollars into lindens, pay out the lindens, and then they'd have to cash out the lindens to get the dollars.... with all the overhead of transaction fees -- it'd be easier and cheaper all around for me to just pay direct with dollars.
Hi there everyone, thanks for the replys however i think most have missed the point of what i was asking.
I was not asking if you would purchase $L in order to go in-world and buy something but what would you buy if you had earnt or won extra $L.
I was asking what people who have earned spare $L but either not enough to make it worthwhile to cash out or so much so that they have reached their trading limits.
This could be anyone from small business owners to campers to the biggest designers and land barons in SL.
I would definetly be interested in buying a gift certificate from amazon with my $L as i dont really see any differnece between buying that and cashing out (if im going to spend the money at amazon that is) and this would remove a lot of the cashing fees for me.
Someone posted you can buy MP3s in here, have you got any links, i will but some if i like the music.
And also Pizza was mentioned, I believe there is actually a company already trying to bring this to SL, i remeber reading about it somewhere but cant remember where.
I wouldnt ordering a pizza in SL right now actually!!!
