game in terrible condition

1.The teleportations barely work

2. You can't buy lindens

3. "Search" is not working

4. Textures are all screwed up

5. These are just some of the constant daily problems we face each day.


What is it with this game? This has got to be the worse kept game in the entire gaming world. And the thing is many of these problems have been going on for a year now with nothing being done and done correctly.

Linden seems to be more preoccupied with new ways of making money then actually fixing this game. Their favorite sentence is, "We're trying the best we can, please be patient," thats it. Unfortunately, their "best" really stinks. And for this the prices on land have increased? Incredible!

In the year I have been in SL this is the worst it's been.

What if your tier is due tomorrow and you want to dump land?

You can't because search is broken.

What if you want traffic to your store to cover your tier?

No dice.

What if you want to get customer service to anwer you?

Forget it.

Want LL to communicate to you in any way?

Sorry.

This is the most mis-managed company of any type I have ever witnessed. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The worst no one mentioned is this:

Many 'for sale' boxes are unbuyable.

THIS, is unacceptable. Yesterday and today I was notified none of the boxes in my shop are allowing customers to "buy" the content.

I just don`t get it. This is so ridiculous.

Now we have to count on shoppers to be nice enough to tell us our stuff isnt working. ugh

This may be local to your sim. I had this happen at my shop once and a sim restart fixed it. I did not know it either until a customer told me...

This entire situation is terrible enough for us social/casual users. My heart really goes out to the merchants who are being hit terribly by this. I wish there was something I could do, othe rthan lend moral support.

Hang in their merchants!! I will go on a buying spree if LL ever gets this one fixed.

I'm hoping and praying the get rolling restarts going, if it will fix any of the problems. I was really trying to find the positives in this and get some work done tonight ...

I was able to get my inventory to load very slowly, and settled down on my newly-rented plot of land to move my store and club to it. My grand opening is Saturday, everything was working fine for me until today, so I'd announced it just about everywhere. Tonight, I couldn't teleport anywhere, my Linden$ showed only as "Loading" and my Friends list was blank. But, I could build at least ... or so I thought! At first I could. Then it started failing. I can rez objects, but I can't precision-move or resize them by entering numbers in the edit fields. I can eyeball all I want, but entries in those fields are what makes a build perfect. (Also what moves it up to skybox heights very quickly.) So, I can't even rebuild my club and store!

his problem started *after* I'd taken down the club at my old location. Thank goodness I didn't take down the store ... except that for the last two days, I've had no sales. I learned this afternoon that my vendors and for sale objects are "timing out."

I also sell on slexchange.com, and when Linden balances disappear, my sales disappear.

I know people say to forget about it, be patient, or just move on. But I'm a disabled work-at-home mom and this IS my income, my livelihood. I am SO frustrated! And not being a land-owner, just a renter, I don't even feel my complaints will get taken seriously.

I wonder how many other people got sucked into SL when it was working just well enough to give them some real income, and real hope ... only to find that it's grinding to a halt?

Well i hope they fix it soon, but this time they should think about the weekly tier for the advertises. I spent a lot of money for it and made only some bucks since renew on wednesday. If something bad happen in RL (with a Newspaper-Advertise for example) the newspaper-company gives me the next one for free...

yeah but ive restarted it twice already and it keeps happening.


Also, im pretty certain there was a "item permissions" problem because someone bought up my ENTIRE shop- thats completely unusual. Maybe im just being paranoid but... I think not. Why would a male buy female items and who would spend all of that money unless they think theyll get it back



*EDIT* I JUST got notified AGAIN items on my sim can not be bought. WTF

I have not seen this game in this bad of condition in a very long time. Is Llabs doing some back end work resulting in these problem?

sadako..i am ALSO a disabled, work-at-home mom..and this is ALSO my income..i feel the pinch..and I feel for you also..things have been awful..ive really never seen it quite this bad..let's keep our fingers crossed this will be fixed soon..or i'll be sleeping on your front porch! LOL I also wanted to invite some other RL friends to join, but they would LAUGH in my face at the way this game is operating right now, delete and go back to playing WOW.

You obviously missed the 1.7 'Grey Life' experience which lasted the best part of a week. Ironically it happened the day after an amazingly positive review/hype article in the US mass media so all the welcome areas were inundated with n00bs going 'wtf is this???' at the same time.

I can not create clothes any longer in appearance it doesnt work at all. I tried to use my textures I uploaded to make a jacket and shirt ...I click on the button called create new jacket and the one called create new shirt ... nothing happened... I was trying the next day too.. it doesnt work anymore.. Now I can no longer make clothes!

Elinah, wear an older jacket and change the texture and adjustments, save it as a new one and you're done. It's sad that this is the only way things work now...

In my experience SL performance was worse last autumn, with more lag, more crashes and texture problems (for me, at least). It seems better now but we'd all love it if it were much better still!

To keep its lead SL needs to constantly improve and update as well as getting performance right. I guess it's pushing the boundaries all the time.

I haven't seen any other mention of this, but all day yesterday there were sporadic problems with dataserver events either not firing or returning garbage. This caused an entire class of products to fail, from at least 4 different developers that I am personally aware of.

I won't be able to see if this is resolved until late tonight, but I am very nearly praying that LL doesn't leave this problem for Monday. There are a couple thousand customers of these products that will potentially be affected by this problem if they do

It's only a de-facto lead in the first place, it's not like SL is better than it's (nearly non-existent) competition

I was wondering the same thing myself. I think they are concentrating on adding features and gettin more hype in the Press than the Resident's issues.

You have the inside track on LL's inner workings? Because what you stated about is exactly OPPOSITE of what they've stated multiple times.

I'm not sure you understand how much work is required for such a huge system as this. No non-LL employee could really have that good of an idea AT LEAST until the server side gets open sourced so people see what they've been working with.

I'm not sure you understand how much statements like that are irrelevant. It makes no difference what so ever how hard the job is. You say you can do it, tell people you will do it, and lead them to believe you can do it...........you damned well better do it. Cutting edge technology? Probably. Can it be done? Yes.....but Linden Labs being able to do is questionable. Will it be done? Yeah, eventually. But if you release your "cutting edge" technology on the public as a finished product you better have a finished product (or close to it). If it's not ready for the public (which I believe it is not)............put it back in beta testing and get it right.

It's excuses like that that send me right up a wall......."Gee, people, we are doing the best we can. Cut us some slack. This is hard work. Please be patient.......we are tired". What a feaking whine.
