I have to hide on a private sim to upload. That is, provided I can TP to the private sim. Then I have to worry about getting back home. Been like this for almost 3 days - I hope it's just a weekend thing.

I just bought a parcel of land and the money went to the seller, but I got an error message telling me that the transfer was stale. So the land didn't transfer and I was still out my L's. Fortunately, the seller came straight away when I IM'ed and sold it to me again for 1 L.

How many people are buying land and it isn't transferring?????? That is a serious crisis if you can't be sure that big purchases of land will actually work.

Hehe, came here to post about the same transaction Lincoln talked about :) I was the seller. Such a glitch has the potential to be devastating.

Being on a private island is no fix.

We were in the middle of the SecondSeeker.com Regatta when it all ended in tears...

Yes, we are rescheduling. The first two races were fantastic!

Teleporting is really spotty. Just stopped responding. Tried to re-log, kept getting kicked back out for about 20 minutes.

Transaction problems also. Notecards were giving me "insuffient permission to view" or some such nonsense. Not reproducible anymore.

Sound clips and effects are failing to trigger again, even from inventory.

We have this problem, more and more, in the greeting areas. We are unable to deliver educational content to newbies. Texture-based information don't rez and notecard-based don't deliver. Welcome in a dumb world!

Edit: 12:49PST. Unable to TP home, to work on my scripting projects. Stuck in a private island with rez failing and unavailable notecards.

Well they are fixing the database again

this means check all your merchandise afterwards

I was also almost done making a nifty "thingy" probably will be gone when I get back on. Unfortunately with the way things are going if we wait to make items we will never get them made so I gave up waiting and just take my chances..

Ah well at least it wasn't a week long project this time only 4 hours of work...

I keep lagging into the world
02-04-2007 13:51
I'm not only crashing, I'm lagging out into the world with non-stoppable movement in one direction.

I did a transaction, SL counted it twice, I haven't heard from them yet. This is insane, I should have left SL when I had all my money liquid.

Every Sunday, these things seem to happen. Perhaps we are incurring the wrath of God by trying to make our own world?

That's way too heavy. Let's just keep blaming it on the Lindens. ;-)

The biggest problem I am currently experiencing is the absolute inability to save scripts. I have been waiting for 25 minutes for a single script to save, and that is not the first attempt :/

Hey...at least they're getting better. Used to be 20k online = SL useless

Now if only they could get ahead of the scaling curve instead of falling a month behind.

Hahahaahhaha................I was actually quite impressed today. :) Launched SL and saw nearly 31,000 online and thought to myself "this ain't gonna work!!" But it did.......a little slow but I got on and after maybe 3 minutes everything rezzed, my inventory was complete and available, had all my money and even was able to upload a couple of textures. I was scared but I even applied those textures to my house and they stuck!!! Whooo whoooooo!! LOL

It's better than the last 3 or 4 weekends for sure. Shoot, who knows, Linden Labs may catch up to this growth after all. :)

When I go to the Grid Status page it says, "
Second Life Offline for Database Maintenance or Update

In our continuing effort to improve your Second Life experience, we have taken Second Life temporarily offline for maintenance. This may also effect portions of our website. We are working to re-open our doors as quickly as possible and we appreciate your continued patience. For more details and further information on our system status, please visit our official blog at: blog.secondlife.com.

When I check the blog - nothin there.

Hey, that's super duper

Someone suggested to me that some idiot may be trying to live stream some football game to a casino somewhere.

Can't log on now; crashed early several times and my beach retreat is no better.

Gee, I hope all 3 mil don't decide to be in SL at once...

But I'm a goof; I believe that LL tests to destruction and keeps coming up with the next step in evolving towards the World Wide SL.

I'm in to stay and I'll take the bad with the good,

Can anyone offline log-in or is it really down for new log-ins?

The lag is really terrible, I finally just logged out. Anywhere I teleport to, it takes a good five minutes to rez all the objects around me; have to stand there waiting until I can see whether I'm in a building or not. I'm happy to see SL growing steadily, but sheesh.

Its possible to eventually log in but its fairly pointless for me at least. My av isnt loading, cant TP, no search, cant build.
