That is a waste of money to pay more than 50L for a classifield, and who is losing? LL is losing lots of lindens because of that...
Hope they will get rid of traffic very soon and fix classifields as well. BECAUSE you search for for i dunno jeans .... theres a place at the top .... they pay 100,000 a WEEK to be there ..... and .... you guessed it ..... its a camp zone. The lindens bring in thier own troubles by allowing the search system to be gamed by PAYING to be high up ... or Traffic thats false...... Search is supposed to help , but all it really is is " Lindens Picks" of who pays them the most payola

I'm not sure the exact schedule, I would assume at 12 am every day it restarts and posts yesterday's number, but if I have learned nothing else in the past 2.5 years it is that assuming something logical out of SL is pure folly....

I would say if you are selling robot porcupines and someone does a search for such a useful device, he would sooner go check out the store with a traffic of 10 than a store with a traffic of 0. yep this is exactly right i have 4 camping chairs on my land not to make it popular or so it looks like people are there but to help it being found in places search. i really dont like the traffic or classified systems both of them should be redone. classifieds is all about who has the most money to put on weekly adverts, ive seen them for L$170,000 thats just for a week, how can smaller businesses compete with that ? hardly fair is it. and traffic isnt a fair assesment of how good / popular your business is it just lists the visitors on the land which can be gamed i would like to see new systems which give everyone the same fair chance of promoting their businesses |

Resources that aren't already there to begin with... The network traffic load increases which is shared by the entire grid. So 20 campers and 1 live av generates probally 10 times and up to 441 (21 x 21 udpates) times the network traffic than just the 1 live av. |

Personally, if I see a store has dance pads, camping chairs, or gambling systems, I am out of there, never to return, and without spending a single L$. The only exceptions I might make are stores that I know sell merchandise I simply can't get anywhere else. And even then, the more they appear to be gaming the system, the higher the probability that I will choose to do without their product.
When I am searching the classifieds for a random product, like "Tennis Shoes" I often start at the bottom of the list and work my way up. Even when I do start at the top, if their ad touts camping in any form, I'll skip them and not even go there.

And i am affraid they are not gonna take this off because too much interes for it,... too much money spent every day for traffic....if they give up to traffic then the guys who invested thousands of US$ in this game will be dead... |
