My avatar is currently "sleeping" (I am not inworld), but when she awakes, she'll be around http://slurl.com/secondlife/Shermerville%20NW/21/65/24/

I'm not inworld, but when I am I can usually be found at Dark Bliss playing tunes. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Machhapuchhre/247/208/92/?img=http%3A//www.slprofiles.com/pictures/thumbnail_241639.jpg&title=Dark+Bliss+Club
Other than that, I just map hop a lot. _____________________

Arrgh - I WAS in-world, but logged out before I got to this thread. Let's see...
I was in my skybox, then I went up to Sorcha's to test a free bird rezzer I found on XStreet (should have searched for 'bird' in the first place, instead of starting a thread down below, but I'm still open to suggestions...) Next I visited The LOLO to look at the fliers they have there, and sent Sorcha a LM so she could buy whatever and be the owner. Then I checked the forums again and saw an ad for a new horse, so I went and picked up a demo. Then I logged out... but now that I've seen Skell's post I'll probably have to jump back in and go hit the Midnight Mania... lol I do have to get off the computer altogether very, very soon - I am taking my son to get his learner's permit... the world will never be the same! _____________________

Right this minute I'm checking my transactions. This morning A woman bought a lot of items and I was relieved since sales are so low. Now when I look at my transactions all that is nowhere to be found. She did not use xstreet to purchase.
Anyone know what to do about this? _____________________

Right now I'm *wishing* I was inworld, but alas, am not; when I DO get there, this evening, I'll be on my sim, Cape Able, marvelling over my new sundial, that I bought from Ghosty Kips, the creator, who finally unveiled it to the world last Saturday at SL sundown. It really does it's thing and shows out at that time so I lurk around to try to be there as night falls in SL....
Last night I visited the SS Galaxy, which is featuring Virtual Ability this month as it's 'Virtual Dock' sim and spent most of my time there in a hot tub with friends, at the Atrium Garden. |

If I was inworld, I would not be on the Forums. This. ![]() Our family's (actually my parents precious' Bichon Frise, but I was his "Big Sissy" and loved him dearly) died last night, so I'm grieving his loss and trying to keep my mind occupied to not keep crying. When I log in, however, I will be at my current home, which is the third floor of my Main Shoppe on the Mieville Doyle sim. _____________________

When you log out your avatar gets put to work on maintaining the grid, doing things like wind management, prim mining, particle recycling, skrell amplification, lag clean-up, lith vastening, asset reclamation, and dosh distimming. So always put on comfortable shoes before you leave. Gah, no wonder I'm always so tired when I login and can't figure out why. _____________________

In a private skybox lounge on my parcel, where my parcel's residents can entertain guests. The sim is invitation-only access, though. I'm there because it was where I was relaxing last night just before I logged off, as I checked IM's before bed time. (Had to log in to get the SLURL. Have been busy today and hadn't gone in-world since bed time.) _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

Split between worlds.
Des is logged out in the rose garden of the Guvnah's Mansion, I think, out front by the large stone statue of a rabbit wielding an umbrella. And worlds away in a hot, lazy, beached out and very gritty~real Southern California. _____________________

I just logged out of Morkeleb, a cute Swiss village build. Go buy a ticket (free) and ride the aerial tram!
Just search for "Morkeleb" on the map. . |

/me perks New horse? Where please? (I guess I could go check the classified forums myself as well.) It was listed under New Products - Vehicles and Machines. I have the demo, but have not tried it yet. (I am pining for one of the new AKK 2009 horses, which are said to have new and optimized scripts, but I haven't talked myself into the new and optimized price. I've a demo of Virrginia Tombola's as well that I haven't ridden as often as I'd like, and a few others. Perhaps we should go riding sometime, though I don't know many good places to go.) Here is the link to the original post: /197/d5/333275/1.html I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your family's dog. We recently lost our ancient calico cat, and it's so hard to deal with the loss, especially when it's fresh. _____________________

Awwww.... *HUGS* I love my dog tremendously too, and know all too well what it is like to lose a well-loved pet. My most sincere condolences. I'm sure he'll be happily wagging his tail for you at the Rainbow Bridge, when your own time comes. I'm sure my beloved pets are waiting there for me. Thank you so much, Ceera. Your kind words mean a lot and I agree that Rocket is probably cavorting now with one of my own past pets, Sampson...a playful Keeshond with much of the same personality traits as Rocket. _____________________

/me leans out the window and waves. Hey Des, feel that earthquake this morning? ![]() Actually I'm not sure! My office is built over liquefaction sand. That means whenever a truck goes by on the street, I get about a 1.0 earthquake... and we get trucks every few minutes! So I can never be sure, if it's a really soft faraway one. Several times I've had nearby earthquakes get me, and my cries of eaaarthquaaaake! on SL are faster than the USGS site ~ I had a small 1.0 or 2.0 right smack below me (just a coupla hundred yards off according to the lat/lon data) which made my whole office move straight up and down... and some months ago I had a 5.0 strike within 10 km of me ~ more straight down than away distancewise. I know 5.0 isn't much but when it is UNDER you, that's rather annoying ~ you get all those vertical compressiony waves and get to see everything in the office go *straight* up... as you go straight up with it... rolling motions are nuffin compared to that. And the Orange County Freeway Fire or whatever it was called, that was just to the east of my office... I was on SL at the time and noticed burning chunks of stuff blow past in this stiff wind full of ash and black bits. I was leaving anyway... when I finally got outside I was in that stuff for maybe 30 seconds... I had respiratory problems for two weeks or so after that. It seemed like nothing much at the time! All of this is minor... the thing that gets me is that I'm in the Prado Dam floodway if anything ever goes wrong. Yep, that dam that was leaking about 5 years ago, causing the evacuation of the mobile home park below it... _____________________

Hi, Nic
![]() Someone on the forums awhile back mentioned her ... ummm...some kind of "Shire" horse that has a side-saddle from Virrginia Tombola. (Sorry, mind is addled today.) There is not a demo of that one but I looked at it and I think that will likely be my next horse purchase. I like the large size and since I am most often in Victorian attire these days, the side-saddle would be great. Would be happy to ride with you any time ![]() I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your family's dog. We recently lost our ancient calico cat, and it's so hard to deal with the loss, especially when it's fresh. Thank you so much, Nic, and my heart goes out to you on the loss of your calico. Three years ago I lost my 18-year-old orange tabby "Morris" and that tore my heart out since I'd had him so long and he had gone through so very many life experiences with me. ETA: To anyone who loves animals and wants a tremendous support place to turn to where there are people 24/7 who understand, send an IM to me here or in world and I'll share the website for the online chat. I spent about 2 hours on it last night. _____________________
