entropia is nothing more than a glorified casino world. You win, you lose, but in the end MindArk tweaked the odds so that they will NEVER let the community as a whole cash out more than they cash in. It's just basic business 101.

For one player hitting the jackpot you have 100 players loosing and MindArk keeping a hefty cut.

I tried entropia about 6 months ago and gathered all this sweat and wandered into some area where there was a tax and the hours of work I had done went poof.
Sounds like you chose the New Oxford teleporter as a starting point because it's quiet and I believe most of the private land areas (with taxes) are around there. (You're not taxed on sweating though are you?) Port Calypso (on the other continent) is the place to easily sell stuff and meet people. Three people there attempted to become my mentor today.. and lots were socializing around the main teleporter.

If you ever login again, open your Map, make sure teleporters are highlighted and you should see a couple of blue dots marking New Oxford. Make your way back there, step into the teleporter, select 'other continent' on the map and go to Port Calypso.

Some of the more experienced players on the previous pages might be of more help. As discussed back there though, the more you get into it, the more of a gambler you become. IMHO naturally. :p

I tried entropia about 6 months ago and gathered all this sweat and wandered into some area where there was a tax and the hours of work I had done went poof. I then gathered more sweat but then could not figure out how to sell it. I wandered around for another session and then gave up unsure of how to proceed. I gave it a good go and the scenery was kinda interesting, but I could not find a sole where I was and the people I did find all one of them didn't want to talk to me. So all alone with my sweating and dying and whatnot I kinda gave up. I was also borred as hell

True and the whole sweat idea is just bizzare, might as well have asked us to follow monsters around with shovels to get collect warm dung as they drop it. Pshycic ability to collect sweat, er coool? But no others but to make a bottle to put it in appear from nowhere too. What happened to the new land colenisation thing of hunting little monsters with a knife or light rifle, or collecting minerals or herbs?
Lookie we discovered a planet of creatures that sweat spacecraft fuel, lucky we just happen to have a heap of humans back at Earth with the pshyic ability to collect it from them, new they'd be handy some day. Any normal Earth envoy would just round them up with a small gunship and put them in automated farms.

This sweat-collecting scene sounds like MindArk's version of camping chairs or money trees.... something to get you started with.

heh, you didn't immerse yourself enough. collecting dung is another way of making money, besides sweating. dung is just harder to find for some reason.
