Is This Broadly Offensive?

My avatar has on his furson, at least one hot dog (yes, the foodstuff. Also known as a frankfurter).

Considering the recent ban on 'Broadly Offensive' materials, would I be banned if I attached it to my avatar for consumption?

I ask this because several religions have bans on the products in this comestible:

Christianity says I cannot eat meat on Friday.

Judaism and islam both say that no meat of pork is to be even touched, let alone consumed.

Hinduism finds the cow sacred, and thus to eat beef is the highest of sins, but yet the hot dog contains beef as well.

Buddhism claims that all animals are simply beings that have yet to achieve enlightenment, but the frank itself is SLDA-inspected and passed. To eat these beings would have me relegated to a housefly in my next life.

And lastly, Discordianism bans the bun itself, as when the goddess Eris was coldly denied entrance to a wedding party on Mount Olympus, she threw a golden apple into the banquet hall (which ultimately ended in the Trojan War), and left to find solace in eating something resembling a hot dog.

What should I do?

Become a Confucian or a Taoist, the traditional religions of China. The Chinese will eat anything! Then, if anyone complains, you can charge them with assaulting your religion and AR them.

I'm a Pastafarian, and I can assure you that we don't find hot dogs offensive at all. Our LORD, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, created the world with all sorts of foodstuff and tasty animals for us to enjoy. HE doesn't mind us eating dogs, no matter if hot or cold.

You've raised an important point here. I think a naked hot dog would be acceptable in a Mature sim, but we're on shakier ground when it comes to PG sims. I would say that hot dog nudity is OK in a skybox 750m up (though some would disagree), but in a public place in a PG sim I question whether mustard and relish would be sufficient to cover the hot dog's nakedness. Surely a large lettuce leaf is required as well.

Concur on the lettuce leaf. Fig leaves are out as far as PG sims are concerned. Figs are just too - suggestive.

Where do chilidogs fit into all this?

Expound the dharma to the hotdog first, then it is up to the hot dog to reach enlightment by itself before you eat it. If the hot dog does not succeed, then that's a result of it's own karma. Consider that in a future incarnation, you and the dog's role might be reversed.

What about meat shorts? Are they broadly offensive?

I disagree entirely. The dressed hotdog is far more offencive, as it has been debased and is no longer as the good Lord intended. If the Almighty had intended condiments to be applied to hotdogs, pigs would be born with one side secreting mustard and the other ketchup. Keep our hotdogs as the Lord intended.

On the 5th day, G-d created hot dogs. On the 6th and 7th, it was Asparagus and Gummi Bears, respectively. Do we eat Asparagus? No. It's yucky. Do we eat Gummi Bears? Yes. Mmmm! Therefore, we see that the world works in a very obvious yes/no pattern. Eat what's created on the 7th day? Yes. 6th? No. 5th? Yes. 4th? No. 3rd? Yes. And so on. Since the Hot Diggety Dog belongs to the 5th Day Food Group, it's edible. Wearing one would be considered playing with your food, which your mother has always told you not to do. Listening to your parents is a commandment. (TRIVIA points! Which one?) Hence breaking that law is an abomination. Hence wearing that Hot Dog is an abomination. Hence, you have been ARd.
