funny, have you read me other posts as well? if you did, you are just PROVING that furries and Neko's defend their things, like a shortsighted, narrow visioned, one sides truth. Like most religious people. (no offence directly, but in general speaking)

Even more, going to start throwing verbal agressive tones (calling names), proves it more..

as soon as someone speaks up, or in a less positive manner, people start to turn their backs to that person and ignoring him/her totally as of what is being said. If it isn't happy talk, it doesn't exist and should be crushed. only happy talk is permitted.

And.. one other thing.. who says i'm a furry? seems you are not a good reader.. please read my posts over again, word by word..

Well, as a feral fox Druid shapeshifter in SL and one of those in RL, I have no dog in this fight, but I really don't think your comments were negative as simply wrong, best as I can tell. It appears that everyone else either has no opinion (unlikely), no interest (very likely) or thinks you are wrong (I confess to being in this group). Since this is a thread, I can ignore your comment (unlikely) or give my opinion (likely). And my opinion is, based on research in impartial Internet, that you are wrong, no matter how nice a person you may be or otherwise knowledgeable about things, SL and RL. And such are my replies.

Now as someone who is getting moderately or mildly beat up in another thread (the reason is simply that everyone else is wrong), I would advise being thicker skinned. Or edit your own answers until everyone else is confused. Or both. Or learn to enjoy being beat up. This is always an option in SL.

Soooo... there WON'T be any evidence backing up the claim that (to paraphrase) "Furries=Dogs/Nekos=Cats"?

I'm really interested where this hypothesis came from, as you've claimed it twice (I believe).

There's plenty of evidence DISPROVING it... do you have any evidence that DOES prove it?

Well...I'd like to agree with the sentiment - it is nice, but I'm not sure it's realistic.

I mean yeah, for instance you can say that, for yourself, you are NOT a furry, and never have been - you can make up a name for yourself, like "I'm not a furry, I'm a torbit." But the fact is, the entire rest of the universe will continue to call you a furry, despite your protestations otherwise; and that's something you'll just have to settle for as long as you use your shape. I suppose you could always say, "well I don't care what other people think", but then there's no point in choosing any kind of label at all, because labels by definition are things that other people use to identify you.

Funny; last night inworld I said to my friend, let's go see some art, I have a LM from someone on the SL forums. He is a llama. My friend, totally misunderstanding, said, cool, lets go. So we went to see Ghosty's digital art, (although we were there to see the art, which is awesome, my friend fell in love with the sundial, which is like, automated, moving on what appears to possibly be gears, and is a very beautiful build) anyway, my friend asked, so, the creator/artist is a 'lama'. I pointed to Ghosty's picture and said 'no, not a lama, a llama'. BIG difference, as my friend was expecting a Tibetan monk.

But someone insisted I was a furry the other day, and it's been bothering me.

Evidence:

1. I'm fuzzy.

2. I look in the mirror (OK, mirrors don't really work in SL, so I have to sort of cam into the wall and simulate it) and see the llama.

3. My poor GF was confused at the beach party because I showed up as a human in swim shorts. There are a few people who have caught me in my human suit and didnt recognize me at all.

4. A total stranger told me I was a furry. In fact, he INSISTED that I was a furry, and further asserted I was weird. (I already know I'm weird, I didn't need his input on that.)

5. I've gotten spam for The Ark three times in the last two weeks. I've never been there, I swear.

Someone help me with my identity crisis? Furry, or not furry?

But someone insisted I was a furry the other day, and it's been bothering me. Evidence: 1. I'm fuzzy. 2. I look in the mirror (OK, mirrors don't really work in SL, so I have to sort of cam into the wall and simulate it) and see the llama. 3. My poor GF was confused at the beach party because I showed up as a human in swim shorts. There are a few people who have caught me in my human suit and didnt recognize me at all. 4. A total stranger told me I was a furry. In fact, he INSISTED that I was a furry, and further asserted I was weird. (I already know I'm weird, I didn't need his input on that.) 5. I've gotten spam for The Ark three times in the last two weeks. I've never been there, I swear. Someone help me with my identity crisis?
