Hey everyone. :D I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with their viewer since the latest update. 1.13.3(2) I am talking about the regular viewer. (Not Firstlook) I am experiencing bad lag and viewer program lock-ups. These lock-ups cause the program to be non-responsive and frozen to where I cannot do anything in world. These episodes usually last anywhere from 5-30 seconds. I realize that the website servers were having problems more so than usual yesterday. I consider it a possibility that my installer may be partially corrupted. Has anyone tried to redownload the program and have their lock-up problem disappear?

P.S. I saw a rumor on the blog that the Second Life viewer is being rolled back. Does anyone know if this is true?

Gaybot - I am having the same issue as are others. My freezes are very short 1-2 seconds but it makes for a less enjoyable experience. What are your system specs? I am Windows XP, 2 Gig RAM, Nvidia GeForce 7900 with 256 memory.

Hi. I've been having the freezing problem ever since the latest update. I'm looking around or moving around the entire client crashes for anywhere between 2 and 10 seconds I suppose. Its really irritating and when added to SL's relentless lag, makes it hard to enjoy the experience. Has this been recognized as an issue yet?

Well, prepare yourself for a good laugh. My computer is about 5-6 years old now and a laptop. It contains no no specs listed on the website, lol. Windows XP (Service Pack 2), 1 Gig of Ram, Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller with 64MB memory, Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.00GHz

Now, despite these specs, I am normally able to get in world and stay in world for hours without crashing or freezing at all. Even with twenty-something thousand users online. In the 3-4 months I have been a Second Life member, this is only the 2nd viewer release that has given me issues with freezing/locking up. I am looking forward to a rollback or new version release.

A question... are either of you having program crashes too, that completely shuts down SL? Because I am regularly... I had none of these problems with the previous build, just the normal lag/long rendering times.

Yes, I'm having these mini-freezes that last a few seconds. P4/2.8G 2G RAM nVidia 7300GS. Also, sometimes I can not move my avatar with the mouse for a few minutes at a time, though the arrow keys still work. I've only crashed while taking snapshots, and that's nothing new.

BTW, this is more likely to get linden attention if it is in the current version feedback forum. Perhaps you could ask that it be moved there, and titled with something more descriptive.

Is this just you writing pointless titles on your posts? No, it's very common.

Thanks for the advice. I posted a new thread with a specific title and links back here in the feedback forum at this link.

Gaybot, you ought to edit the title of this posting as well.

I had almost no problems with the previous update for the entire time it was being used. This current update now has me crashing completely out of SL. Not amused... Curiously tho, it hasnt been freezing at all and TP's seem to be working 95% of the time.

I am not crashing at all...but the viewer stuttering is really killing it for me. Truly the worst bug I have had yet that wasn't temporary - and that still hasn't been acknowledged
