As I said earlier - it was interesting to see but it doesn't look ready for general release yet. I eagerly await the time when it IS sorted, though.

Only a couple of complaints with this FL:
1) As said, the saturation is too high and washes out texture details. 2) Water has changed color again, now its a deep blue with much less reflection, and its way more transparent now. Dont wanna see all the prim litter underwater lol. 3) Lighting schemes only apply to Objects and AV's, but NOT to the terrain. Looks really bad when you can have everything BUT the ground lit. 4) The gray block horizon just sux ass. Give us the option to hide that with distance fog pleeze. I'm hoping these will get attention in a future release, cuz i REALLY, REALLY like it ![]() Contrast seems much higher now and i had NO problems (ie.. none) running full details at 768m draw distance w/30+ FPS steady. Finally something to take advantage of the burly video cards, instead of just adding more work for the CPU or memory/harddrive. |

I can't see the clouds, but that's not the worst problem. The worst problem is the hideous jagged horizon at the draw distance. If I could cover that with fog, I'd be happy enough. I don't want to get a better video card at this time when everything else about SL is fine (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), so I floated a feature request over on jira to permit those of us on older video cards to either use our own static wallpaper or revert back to the old clouds and weather. If this seems like a good idea to you, please log in at jira. secondlife.com and vote for it at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-935. Many thanks! Just tried logging in to JIRA. Doesn't work. Yeeha! |

Tried it, sky looks nice, but activating Renderglow(which I have active on the current normal client) crashes the client immediately. :/ Dynamic Reflections didn't have any problems at least.

And *someone* might be interested to know that the size of the sun is now adjustable. To what extent, I don't yet know ![]() If I run into that someone I'll pass that on. I'm not really able to adjust the sun to what seems like a desirable realistic size and appearance. When I look at the sun in the real life sky it often presents a sort of hard edged yellow sphere appearance and isn't drowned out by atmospheric haze. I can however make this sun less annoying. I find the A-3 pm default setting with some sun size reduction is adequate looking. _____________________

I agree, the sky is real pretty, but I made a fatal mistake in turning off the water ripples, because I was in a slightly laggy area. (Sandbox Island, go figure) Now, if I try to turn the water ripples back on, it crashes. Doesn't matter if it's in world or from the login screen, it crashes. Bright colors are either pitch black or blown out, depending on the time of day in Default settings. *shrugs* I use the regular viewer for photoshoots and the FL viewer for pretty sky.
I'm also irritated by the fact that there are now folders UNDER the trashcan in the list again. _____________________

Also, seems prims with any “shininess” applied to them get strange, mostly grayish blue tint to them. Unless its just me.

my only question.... did we lose the moon? i have not seen it since first look.... The moon is gone. I blame the shoddy construction of the hyperspace gateway system and Chippendale Chairface. ![]() _____________________

I always crash when I select View Land Owners.
I don't like the avatars eye balls at night. Their to bright. At night time from a distance you can see the border lines of the sim like it's lined with tiny white christmas lights. |

sorry to see the moon has gone.
since the moon not only causes the tides but also stabilizes the earth since it keeps the angle of the earth's axis from changing ... i look forward to climatic changes as the seasons start to vary. and the length of the day increases. or maybe i don't ![]() |

If the moon is gone, maybe Dahak had to go fight off some Ach'ultanni(sp) to protect SL? (A cookie for anyone who gets the reference)

(A cookie for anyone who gets the reference) Unless I'm mistaken you are referring to a book series by David Weber. - the moon actually being a spaceship and all ![]() What kind of cookie do I get? _____________________
