What's going on?

We had 2 great threads yesterday, I laughed to tears with them, ate tons of popcorn, stole some of those cracker jacks, couldnt run for the 50Ls but would have loved to, and today only valid questions in the forum!

What do you guys think? What does this mean? Could it be that the update has us so busy we dont come to rant about other people's rudeness?

Yes yesterday was a great forum day. And I think The Mods did a great job with letting us play out in the rain for awhile before making us come inside. Threads like those are true treasures. But we can't abuse it.

Usually the "Rant" threads like the ones you refer too, end up being pretty funny because most of the regulars here have a great sense of humor and it's the best way to kill threads like that. :)

There was way more fun on the Forums yesterday than the (cue Darth Vader music) Corporate Overlords allow. Read your bland "My AV can't wear socks" threads and be happy. Bored drones are happy drones.

I noticed something funny in 'The Nanny Thread'. Well .. quite a lot of things actually but one particular thing?
I mentioned to Brenda to pull up a chair as the second feature would start just as soon as Strife did his thing. Well, someone else closed it instead.

Do I detect collusion? ;)

Tag Team Moderation. In both those threads I had showstoppers written up and hit the post button and got the thread closed message.

I keep up with and read the forums every day just to read Brenda's posts. I always end up belly laughing my way through them.

Thanks Brenda! :D

Tell you what Brenda.
I'll pepper the other threads with broadly offensive remarks, drawing their attention away while you go for a quick reconstruction on this thread huh?

Most Welcome but you give me too much credit (or blame, depending on your point of view). There are some great wits here, along with some great straight men, (unintentional mostly.).. Yesterday was a good example of how we are sometimes at each others throats here, but can all get together for a little fun. I'm not a technical wizard, nor have I been in SL to offer any great insight on what it all means. I'm just having fun. If I made you laugh a bit, I'm very gratified. Life (1st and 2nd) is sometimes taken way too seriously.
I made you laugh and repaid me by making me smile. Thank you.

I still wanna know if the guy with the linden lab thingy was serious in the thread that grew to 20 pages when I went to make a coffee and came back and it was locked (also congrats to the winner of the 50L dont blow it all in once place)

I have strange curiousities and crayons!

bye

p.s. just dont overdo it and likely everyone is fine its when the question threads get drowned out by the off topic threads that peopel come and start locking I mean heh we do have to remember this is a forum for the new guys (even us older guys) to come and ask a question like

"why is my hair stuck to my butt?"

and

"why is everything all grey?" etc

or

"help ?"

If people gots to search for them help questions and they fall to the second or third page before a single answer can get posted to it the poor new guy runs away from the game

Brenda is a jewel and should be on a bigger stage in the world than this forum. Stand up philosopher? Author of "Tech and You" graphic funny novel?

The winner was Marianne McCann, who won $500L for being the last non-moderator to post in the thread, and an additional $1000L was paid to a Relay For Life kiosk :)

Tell ya what... I will offer the same deal for this thread: $500L to the last non-moderator post, and I'll up the Relay For Life bid to $2,500L just for kicks.

I was enjoying the "Sleep" thread.

But since it was asking how much time do you spend in SL, the thread got locked for being off-topic.

Brenda is the queen of comedy (and helpful answers when needed) on the forum. And even though I was not able to bid on her underwear, it is always in my thoughts.
