I guess what I really meant was to be to set yourself up as a fulltime business it takes alot of money, I guess you can do it "hardcore" and nstart by making camping money, but thats a long long road and one wrong investment along the way will take you back to square one

I wouldnt say I operated a full time business but I do earn thousands of USD per year through content creation and I have never invested a single penny of rl money in sl. A friend purchased my first months membership as a gift and I have allways earnt enough to cover all expenses and to ultimately build a successful business. I had no 3D building skills and very limited graphic skills when i started, but through hard work and practice I am now skilled at both. So I think as long as you are prepared to put in the effort you can create a successful and ultimately 'fulltime' business in sl without investing any rl money, it just takes time.

I think your statement is true of players who want a very profitable business after 2 months of playing, the only way to acheive this in the vast majority of cases is to invest rl money. If your in it for the long run then no investment or rl money is necesary, or at least it wasnt before they did away with dwell, first land and reduced the stipend. It must be allot harder new players with a premium account to be self sufficient these days although not impossible.

EU rewards sociopathic behaviour, in my opinion. You really have to read up on the relative values of things, which can be fun, and then you see how many times people attempt to scam you. Every once in a while I go back to run about in the pretty landscapes, but it's not very interesting otherwise.

I agree, except i find it difficult to travel from city to city without using the teleporters because they made it so you HAVE to know how to fight in order to pass all the aggressive monsters. If they reallly want to pass this off as a virtual world they need to give players the ability to choose if they wish to be a fighter or a socializer so they don't have to keep dieing all the time just to find the right outfit to go with their shoes. :P
