Also, there's another known problem we intend to remedy quickly. Even if a Friend's parcel meets the following requirements in the Event Posting Rules:
"The parcel belongs to a friend, it is set to show in Find Places as a Hangout (formerly called Gathering Place), and is at least 512 square meters."
it will not show up in your list of Locations.Related, Brock Zander made a post in SL Answers with a great description of what to expect when you encounter this problem.
