I'm excited to announce a new feature included in today's 1.10.5 launch which will help give landowners the ability to further describe their parcels listed in the Find menu. Although a relatively small change, it helps make searching for previously hard things to find like parks, cultural spaces, new Resident friendly locations, educational locations and services/businesses in-world significantly easier.

We've added several new place types which should allow for a more descriptive selection when you are tagging your parcels to be included in Places tab. This should also help when Residents are searching in the Places tab, as it allows land owners to more clearly identify their spaces in-world.

Also, you'll notice when you initially open the Places menu, it defaults to a list of Linden Locations, which may have been previously difficult to locate in-world.

The new categories are as follows:
Adult - mature content, adult-related
Arts & Culture - museums, cultural, artistic
Business - services, businesses
Educational - teaching, learning, classrooms
Gaming - games, roleplaying
Hangout - general hanging out
Linden Location - 'official' Linden Lab, Welcome Areas, Sandboxes, Infohubs
Newcomer Friendly - new Resident focused
None - no category
Other - anything else
Parks & Nature - open spaces, parks, nature reserves
Residential - homes, apartments, neighborhoods
Shopping - stores, malls, open air markets
Stage - theater, discussion, events

Now that Second Life 1.10.5 has launched, you may want to take a moment and update your place type on your parcels to make them easier to find!
