Copying an old version of the xml file over the buggy new one fixes the 3 bad character problem - lifted from the Preview Blog Comment
![]() Bump Mapped & Cloth still only works for me with the extented option "c" set, as described above. ![]() Also, its a pity that the "see on map" option is set to "do not see", and that the permissions I had granted to others to modify my stuff are gone. I hjope this is Preview Stuff. Linux-wise, it looks fast and stable! Great!!! ![]() _____________________

Crashes every time I press search.
Still no libgcc_s in the libs directory. Not really enough of the grid there to test much. |

Unreadable fonts

I use Kubuntu Dapper on an ASUS A2500D with ATi Radeon Mobility 9600 and the free opengl drivers. Version 1.13.0.5 can not log in saying that there is a newer version available. Even though it seems that my bug which is filed in a minute under the 12.3.6 version is valid here also.

Alpha go whacky...

Something I experienced in this release on my rig -- I was testing the betas and noticed that alot of textured items in the Abbotts sim looked translucent, including stuff that shouldn't be!
Strange thing is, I just checked the Welcome Area and Lusk, and there's no problem. Everything appears solid. The main grid Abbotts has changed too. Strange. I'll talk with Cubey Terra, see what's going on. EDIT: The preview grid may of been copied while Cubey was building the newer Abbotts Aerodome. That probably was why half of the Aerodome looked half-way transparent. _____________________

I'd rather a new thread, Tofu

I'd rather a new thread be started since this is a maingrid release. Anyone coming in new on this thread is going to see the high-up comments about running on the test grid and get confused (I had a double-take for a few seconds until I thought about it).
Then have a link in the new thread back to the test-grid lead-up thread for people to find the useful info that is in there. BTW: the most impressive thing about thhis release for me is that the fixes/improvements to the Linux client were woven in amongst the other-platform client fixes in the official Linden announcement. This says first-class citizen almost as loudly as a beta designation to me ![]() |
