Running kubuntu, can't find xse in repos. Cannot install xse file from ftp site, (./configure make etc.)
Are there any other options?
fergetabardit... will have to wait till it's in client I guess.

I don't think you need to bother with this anymore. Internally, the Linux client already supports Copy & Paste, so it will not be long until we get it

That's good news. I switched to Wine, mostly for copy/paste, but also because the performance is twice as good and I get (crappy, but existant) sound as a bonus. I'll try the native client periodically, but I suspect it is going to be quite a while before I am convinced to swtich back for regular use.
![]() Anyway, I was wrong about the delays. The code I posted breaks up after a few pages worth of code. The longer the script, the less frequently the native client seems to be able to accept keystrokes. This isn't a buffer issue, because even if you stop the pasting and start again, characters will be skipped right away. The client must be reallocating the whole string for the entire script text every time you insert a character or something. ![]() |

In xwininfo, you can choose windows by name as well, so it's easy to automate the initial incantation further if you want, omitting the need for manual window selection:
