I know this is a double post but I thought I would also raise it here since use linux, in case its something in this alpha client...you never know.

HP Pavilion DV6000
Centrino Duo
GeForce Go 74000
Ubuntu 7.04

All software is up to date.

If you have a look at the photo I uploaded to my friends website you will see my problem.

I have found that this happens on clothes and on my skin, sometimes clearing the cache helps sometimes i am forced to buy the new item. It is not just me that see's this issue its everyone else to.

I have tried rebaking and it has helped though it didnt yesterday, I purchased a temp skin till i find the cause of this. Putting on a new skin seems to fix this issue as it was effecting the old one...well so far thats been 2 days now all ok.

Strange - it looks a lot like the symptoms of overheating/overclocked graphics hardware. It's not a great comfort but I can fairly confidently say that this isn't being caused by SL specifically.

Ok so I have narrowed it down.

A few friends could see this problem which suggests its a Server Side problem rather than my laptop as if it was just me seeing it then i would say laptop (drivers etc....)

I have filed the bug https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2171
