Well, you shouldn't have to re-buy the items. I'd try a texture rebake (from Client debug menu, Control-Alt-Shift-D if you don't have "Client" on the menubar; then Character -> Rebake Textures. You may be able to just use the Control-Alt-R shortcut, but on my Linux installation, that does nada).

Almost the same happened to me yesterday. Rebake and the cache dance didn't work that time, but client>character>character tests>test female unstuck whatever was stuck. This is a pain if you have a complicated outfit, but it's a good incentive to get the inventory organized I guess :/
Failing that, it would be fun to use you for crossword puzzles.

I have sorted my clothes into folder so i just drag and drop so if it happens again i will do all that rebake thing or the character tests>test female one.
My specs are

I`d guess some type of problem with your computer.
When my laptop was about to croak I would get things on my body that looked similar only they were multicolored.

Ubuntu's a form of Linux, yes? My friend who's also running Linux (don't know what kind) also has a similar problem, only his blank spots show up as completely transparent and they are large areas (like his entire shoulder will be transparent.) Check JIRA to see if this is a reported issue yet. If not, create a new issue, include your screenshot and system specs...

*mutters sleepy goodmorning to the forum people* It does look like some kind of disease.... hope it is not contagious . Serious again, I can remember a thread about certain graphic cards had a bad time with SL. Maybe this could be your problem? Morwen.

Someone said it could be the skin am using badly done? or some clothes that could be designed badly effecting the skin? This is a new laptop HP Pavilion DV6000 and Nvidia norm dont have problems with things like this so i hope its not my card as i dont want to go through this every month or two Anyone got any other ideas?
