Gentoo, Xorg w/both drivers, and KDE are built. I'm now working on some extra parts and Wine.

Still need hosting? I've got a 1and1.com account for $5 a month and I get 500GB of bandwidth a month, which is currently going mostly unused. I could host it for a bit, with the caveat that anyone who DLed it would be expected to start seeding it on BT, cos I couldn't host it forever.

If you feel you need the space don't feel too concerned about having to goto DVD size. Most distros are now doing LiveDVDs, the dvd-rom is no longer cost prohibitive. Even the poorest individual should be able to swing a DVD drive for $16.69 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136083

Not if you live in a country where the tax on electronics is about 100% and it has to be specially ordered though store catalogs. I miss Frys.

From: Kitaro Hayashi Not if you live in a country where the tax on electronics is about 100% and it has to be specially ordered though store catalogs. I miss Frys. Not to downplay your plight, but in all honesty, what percentage of internet users, or second life Linux users, are in that situation? There is always going to be an exception, there is no escaping that. But if you had 100 linux users and 3 were in such a situation and you wanted to include more content... well I'd hate to exclude anyone, but sometimes you just have to go ahead and do it. Some distros do both a LiveCD and a LiveDVD (I'm not sure how they make their decisions on what goes on the CD) but that might be beyond the scope here. Can I ask what country you live in that is in such a state?

Perhaps those in such a country might befriend someone in the US, and get their friend to buy things for them, and ship it to them as a personal gift. Even with paying shipping twice (shipping once for the website order, and once from the US to whereever), it might well be less expensive than the tax, and would probably offer more variety even if the cost difference was negligable.
