So, the first weekend of May is almost upon us.
Date: May 6th Time: 6:30pm Where: Kandybar 4147 St-Laurent, just below Rachel Google Map - Google's map is a tad off. It's around the corner from the marker. We should have the place more or less to ourselves at this hour... Good or bad thing dunno. yeah... it happened. Luckily it was somewhere I knew the staff, so I didn't feel like a total dork when no one showed. crap. it's 4:25 a.m.. Now I know no one is out there.

i'm pretty sure, since well, like i said, we would have had he place to ourselves - literally. I was only one in the whole place, along with staff. Should have held it in strip club - more 'sl' like environment.

I don't think anyone showed up because this thread keeps dying and reviving and stuff O.o I think what we should really do is some kind of meet-up inworld at some date, and get to know each others 1st, then make sure eveyrone can meet on a precised date. Max just threw some kind of date and then went, but noone really could say yes or no...  Anyways if this ever really happens, I might come! As long as we end up drunk! Mwaha!_____________________

D'autres utilise SL pour des trucs plus sérieux..... Pour le film The Hitch-hicker's Guide to the Galaxy, Marvin fut d'abord créer dans SL pour la première visualisation. Une jeune Américaine a créer un Machinima du système solaire pour un projet de classe.etc.... D'autres encore font des simulations, etc. En plus il y a l'économie de SL..... environ 300 Lindens (dollars virtuels) sont égale à $1 USD.... une prof en Allemagne se tape un salaire réel d'environ 250,000.00 $ USD par année en louant des terrains virtuels dans SL (www.anshechung.com) ! Car on peux échanger nos Lindens pour des vrais dollards US. Faut aussi voir les magasins en ligne... www.slboutique.com ! Alors je fais quoi? et bien je paye 22.50 $ USD par 3 mois pour être dans le jeu et pouvoir posséder mon terrain et un autre $40 USD par mois pour le terrain, (Max de plus de 8000 mètres carrées et un nombre fixes de prim, formes primaires pour les objets). Mon terrain actuel est fractionné en trois parties, 2 sont louées à d'autres résidents et mon terrain contient une petite boutique de souliers pour hommes, ma maison qui flotte à plus de 300 mètres dans les airs et une résidence pour mon 2e avie qui est vampire. Je recois 1250$ Lindens par semaine de mes locataires plus un STIPEND de base de 500$ Lindens du jeux directement... sans compter les souliers que je vends $150 Lindens. Pas encore assez pour tous payer mais je couvre mon 22.50$ USD. Plein de copains de partout, France, Angleterre, USA, Canada... on danse , on jase, etc. et je construit des souliers, des cascades, des jacuzzis, etc. J'ai une formation académique en Arts (Bacc.) et plus de 13 ans d'expérience en informatique. voila.... on se verra peut-être dans SL ! I was interviewed by Jean-Sebastien Cloutier of Radio-Canada for real life TV last week about my SL. Catherine Linden hooked me up with these people weeks ago, etc.
The interview was supposed to be aired on TV TONIGHT (september 13th 2006) at 6pm at Le Telejournal (news show). BUT! There was a gun shooting thing at a College near my house (4 dead, 16 injured, you can read about it everywhere on the net, Dawson is the name, Montreal the city, this is so scary and sad  ) and therefor the segment about SL will be cut. Hopefully it can make it through tomorrow.Anyways, I would be more then glad to repeat the experience with TVA so I will use the contact. Thanks for sharing! : D _____________________
