I would like to help plan if any one wishes an meet-up in the Southern US. I do not think an large city is the best plan though, as cities can be difficult to navigate, and are hard to get into or out of. I think meet-ups in smaller towns/cities or a suburbs hotel would be more efficient. Do we have many people playing SL from the south?

I know of several....5 or 6 from my town.....i am in East Tennessee...and i would like to say that Greenville SC or perhaps Huntsville AL might be good choices...i would vote for Knoxville TN too.....IM me in world tonight EDT around 8 and we can talk further.

I like the idea of Huntsville too, its an easy city to get in and out of, and is roughly centrally located. |

Hey ya'll,
I would love to meet with with any SL players. I am in Charleston SC area so Greenville would most likely be do-able. keep me posted thanks I have talked to a few people in the SC/NC/TN area and Eastern TN looks good, someone said Asheville would be nice too. We need to decide if we want to go as far east as Asheville or more like Huntsville. I know Huntsville is far for those of you over in the Carolinas but its centrally located as far as the southern US is concerned.

Not knocking Hunstville at all, it's a great town, but Birmingham is probably better suited to a larger gathering, and for a city is really easy to navigate within as well as being centrally located....and the nightlife here isn't too bad either |

Its apparent that not alot of ppl have been to Huntsville... I live there and its hard to get lost, there are only 2 main roads and its easy to get to from alot of directions. I would love to see everyone meet up and hang out around here just dont expect to much from rocket city, most of the nightlife is non-existent but that doesn't mean we can't make our own noise! =)~ If u guys want any more info or need someone to volunteer to help make this happen let me know and ill see what i can pull together.

A few of us are meeting in northern Atlanta this Saturday, October 29th, 2005. I'll post details here and in the SL South Yahoo group just as soon as I have them. It's totally informal, no program, just food, gosh I hope there's food.
