I am in the Boston area, as well. The NE group sounds like a pretty good idea... Too damn cold for an RL meet right now, though...

I've created a group for all of us in and from New England. The moniker is New England Resident Dwellers and enrollment is free! Lets get everyone locked in and start finding ways to get our group socializin! If you need any help gettin' down, hit me via IM and we can get things straightened out for you!

The group does not have open enrollment.

It would be the checkbox under Signup Fee on the Invite tab.

Only a few people have signed up for the N*E*R*D group so far, so I encourage all of you who contributed to this thread to get down with it! I've met a couple of unique residents in the MA area and some regular socializing has kicked in. Sign up today

I am down with a in world SL meet and greet, for the NEw England Residents, I know there are quite a few , that are not members of the group, I was thinking of doing the same thing, just have to find a place to do it. as my land is now mostly shop space, is not a good place, for a meet and greet.

Aiight, so N*E*R*D is finally getting some action, which is great! I posted to group members inworld about a meetup on the 20th of May. I'm thinking we can get down with a social rendezvous during the afternoon on that day if people are game. If there are alot who come through, we want to pick a solid spot where everyone can be socializing. Suggestions?

A lack of suggested places to meet is not the problem. You, or someone, just needs to pick a time and place and if people show up so much the better. Go back to trying to get everyone to agree on a place and it will fall apart like the last time.

Prak, you're right bruh (I wasn't aware ya'll had already tried and failed!) I've got some solid suggestions from other residents and i'm sold on, "Kings" in Back Bay. This Sunday, May 7th, there is a Mayfaire going on in Cambridge in and around Harvard Square area (http://www.harvardsquare.com/eventcat.php?catid=5).

I will be part of a sidewalk painting festival that is part of the festivities. If anyone is around the Boston area, pop by. It is a fun event with lots of things to do, see, buy, etc. I will be the curly haired woman on my knees (no jokes please ) chalk pasteling a picture of Icarus.

They are still looking for artists.. so if you are creatively inclined come down and participate too (http://www.cambridgerotary.org/ChalkOverview.cfm).

The first N*E*R*D meetup has come and gone! Thanks to Pathfinder Linden and Coal Nelson for comin' through and hanging out. It was a solid time (and no lie, the food was great!) Ya'll did hustle me in pool though! I'm gonna have to start callin' you the sharpshooter, Pathfinder, and referring to Coal as the closer! Lookin' forward to another meet in the future!
