Just thought I'd say Hello and see how many of my fellow Gulf Coast Texans have made it back to the forums after the storm. I hope everyone is doing well, or as well as can be expected. I know many are stilling waiting for their power to come back on.

Ike Survivor!

Houstonian here. Though I've been an SLer longer than a Houstonian!
We finally got our power back last night. Ike was my first hurricane and hopefully I won't experience another for a while. Alexin Bismark and I live together in Houston. Before moving to Houston about 4 years ago, I lived in Austin for 10 years. I'm a permanent Yankee transplant. I'll never be able to uproot Alexin from Houston and I don't think I could handle the cold north winters anymore either. I hope others from Houston weathered the storm okay. We've been meaning to go to one of the Houstonians RL meet ups but timing never seems to be right. Very pleased to meet more Texans! Angel |
