I am creating a rather large club with many internal rooms and it is becoming really difficult to select each of the linked prims and save them all together. Is there a tool or something that will help me with this.

Look for Rez Foo box on SLX. There may be other rez box also. What it is is a box with a script, and another script you add to each linked set. then you take each linked set into your inventory, then put a copy of each linked set from your inventory into the box. The box has a menu allowing you to rez, derez and save the building into position. To move the whole building after rezzing, just move the box. Anysize building, even whole sim content, so the instructions says... not cheap though... but it's copyable, so you can use it again any number of times... It's made by Crystalshard Foo.
p.s.: That's what I use for my pagoda... see the link below _____________________

Also, visit this thread:
/8/8a/79523/1.html There are some good suggestions there. If you simply want to be able to select the entire build and take it to inventory as one unit (though not linked), there is a way to do that. First, park your avatar as close to the center of the build as possible. Then, zoom your camera out as wide as it goes. Then, hit ctrl-8 a few times (increase your field of view). You should be able to get the entire build in-view. From there, you can drag a selection box around the entire thing (it helps to enable the "select only my objects" option under the <tools> menu.) Remember to hit ctrl-9 to get your camera's field of view back to normal. |

Crystalshard's Rez-Foo is amazing, but pricy for some people.
The Rez-Faux is a good gadget that does the same thing for L$525, as opposed to L$2500. Rez-Faux's packages can also be resold, which I think costs an additional L$25,000 for the Rez-Foo. _____________________

I wish I had seen this one before I impulse bought the rez-foo...would have save a lot of dough.... Thanks for the tip, at least I did not shell out L$25,000 for the resell version. _____________________

not that I have a huge complaint about l$ 6xx for a script instead of l$ 2xxx but is there a near free/free one? Even something for a small house or limited prisms would be great?
to be frank I don't have alot fo dough to spend in sl and secondly I'm only using a premade, free house that's suppost to fit on the smallest lot available. Thanks for your time, Kara |

Do a search for "Builder's Buddy" on the web. You'll have to copy!paste from a website into a new script to make the scripts, but it will do everything that Rez-Faux and Rez-Foo will do.
And is free. And full permission (so long as you leave the headers intact). How's that for low cost! |
