Next GOV will be 11pm Friday 20 January SLT, so as to cover a different slice of the population. Please submit any agenda or discussion items to me ahead of time, if you can.

EDIT:
****
Time has changed, as noted later in the thread, and is now 3 hours later at 2am Saturday 21 January SLT.

7 o'clock on a Saturday morning......I'll attempt to be there, but the valves in my brain don't really warm up until about 9.30, and that's on a good day :)

No, Usagi. Like last friday's meeting this one is being run by me. Basically a chance for us to all to get together, air our thoughts and think about better ways for us all to do what we're doing.

Not official, no obligation. The logs of the last one are posted here. Everyone seemed to get a bit out of it, and wanted more.

Presumably though if we don't attend we'll be missing out on what people are discussing - that's fine as long as we can read the report and no decisions are being made. Ideally we'd have a Linden-run all-volunteers' meeting so that decisions can be made quickly if necessary.

I really am not sure that I can make the Saturday morning meeting. I have a regular meeting very late on Friday night and I'll feel terrible.

In the end, any decisions made are yours, for you alone. Some of us may choose to do one thing, and some may choose to do differently. The important thing is talking about it so that we're well equipped to choose for ourselves how we go about things.

This isn't about forcing the volunteers into a mold. It's about information and communication, which are the primary things that allow us to do our volunteer work effectively.

I don't see where I said I thought it was about forcing anyone into a mould, and I would be attending except that there's a practical difficulty that I have explained. Of course it's about communication - what I said was that a linden-run meeting is a quicker way of getting changes made (that we have all been able to discuss).

Is it possible to change the time you've set?

I'm hoping to keep shifting the time. The last one was 5pm friday. The next one 11pm Friday, the one after will be noon saturday.

If we keep juggling the time we'll ultimately catch everyone. Pretty much any time we pick shuts out a quarter of our potential attendees. That said, it could be done.

I've got no problem with holding it at - say - three hours after that. (2am, Saturday),

Objections?

Okay, there's been general acclaim for 2am Saturday 21 Jan, and nobody has objected to the shift. Consider it shifted. The inworld notecard will be updated.

Injury at home. By now you all should have gotten notice of the (literally) last minute cancellation. New time to be announced.
