I had a look at the GOV meeting threads and they're on-topic. They, in the view I'm using, also extend over the last month, which is quite a period of time in SL! You could change your Display Options underneath the threadlist if you didn't want to see them?

Next GOV (Gathering of Volunteers thread are NOT OFFICAL threads.... Its seems more and more tat is running the greeters and mentor and not jeska...... what the BLIMPING is going on these days ? And why is this occuring? and why is it still going on? _____________________

Its a gathering of volenteers, they belong in the volenteers section of the forums. Just because a Linden didn't call the meeting it makes it unofficial? If I remember correcly Jeska encourages us to get together and talk. None of them are repeats of the same thread, they just have similar, and in a few cases the same name. I've just checked all the threads in this forum. Only 1 doesn't belong here which is about the Linux client. _____________________

Unnoficial to what? Its a gathering of volenteers, they belong in the volenteers section of the forums. Just because a Linden didn't call the meeting it makes it unofficial? If I remember correcly Jeska encourages us to get together and talk. None of them are repeats of the same thread, they just have similar, and in a few cases the same name. I've just checked all the threads in this forum. Only 1 doesn't belong here which is about the Linux client. Next GOV (Gathering of Volunteers ) threads are offical?????????????? I can`t telll the real info from the JUNK on these forums any more! _____________________

Should there be tons o' tons of these volunteer meeting threads in the future, quite reasonably, it'd be dilligent to sort them into a subforum. Just saying. I haven't personally seen this volume yet. Have you already tried the forum filtering options, Usagi? _____________________

I think the turn of phrase is "actively partisipating", but thats a whole different issue. Tats allowed to hold meetings, and as long as they're to do with the volenteer group, they're allowed to be here. My questions are.. What do you want doing with them? You mentioned moving them, to where? They belong here. There is no "Old Topics" section to the Volenteers & Eduacation forum. _____________________

Tateru Nino's gatherings are completely unofficial and optional to attend -- though I'm sure quite a few people are interested in attending them. And because the topics of her meetings concern SL volunteers, she posts 'em here. Most of us don't have the time or care to put into the mentoring of new folks as much as she has. I help out when I can, but honestly, you won't see me holding meetings about anything (I don't think it's that fun to hold meetings and be organized). Isn't the ultimate goal of being a Mentor helping new folks? You find the weirdest things to be pissed about, to be honest ... _____________________

I personally like the GOV meeting notes. I haven’t been able to attend the meetings. However, I do read the notes and find them valuable and informative.
